This thread is directed to the men of Ageless Love.

Guys, what are some of your favorite things about having a woman in your life?

If you are single like me, what is it you miss?

Please share them with us. Tell the ladies of Ageless how special they are.

I miss having panty hose hung out to dry on the shower curtain rod ...

I miss awakening to the smell of hairspray, scented soaps and lotions ...

I miss crawling out of bed in the morning, walking into the bathroom and finding ...

Good thread George. There's a completeness (for want of a better word) to my life when I am with the YW of my interest. A feeling of being more connected, not just to her, but to the human race and the world in general. I had been alone for quite a while before she came into my life, and had become content with that single life. I had even done some very important things during that time that I was very proud of (wrote a book, learned to fence, etc.). It's amazing how little any of that means to me now, and how very valuable the connection of one soul to mine has become.
One of my patients just passed away earlier this week. He and his wife (of 58 years) were very much in love with one another, each acknowledging their feelings for the other in spite of his advancing dementia. His wife, in her grief, once said to me, "behind every great man is a woman willing to let him be great." I would suggest that her very attitude is what stimulates that greatness to begin with. Ladies, from all of us to all of you, Happy Valentines Day.

Mike

So sweet, I agree Goodchild! You know, I'm not much for Valentine's Day, but it's real sentiment like you guys express that makes it truly meaningful!

The boys are being very nice to the ladies

I just hope a few special ladies come along for you all in the not-too-distant future.

And don't let Valentine's Day get you too down...it's just something the card companies made up anyway...I think...

Guess Who!

I've always thought of being a part of "us" as being a part of something special. I wasn't a part of anything when I was just "me". I would rather be a part of "us" even when we're fighting, than to be just "me".

Mrs. Who! makes my otherwise mundane life special. For instance ……

Sitting at a cafe, enjoying a simple meal with her is a memorable moment for me. Eating a meal alone was never memorable when I was single.

When I'm at the grocery store, buying the items off a list that Mrs. Who! gave me, I feel like her hero. Shopping never made me feel like a hero when I was single.

Mrs. Who! and I often shower together in the morning, showering with her is very comforting, and sometimes fun too, even when I'm still 1/2 asleep. Showering alone was never comforting or fun.

When Mrs. Who! and I go on a road trip we laugh and sing along the way, we battle over whose music we're going to listen to, each stop is an adventure, we're always taking pictures of each other. Traveling alone was never that fun.

When we're curled up on the sofa watching a video together, I’m in heaven and she doesn’t even realize it. Sometimes I hardly notice the movie because I’m digging on being with her. Watching a video was never so much pleasure when I was single.

When Mrs. Who! bakes chocolate chip cookies for me, I feel like the luckiest guy in the world.

Guess Who!

Guess Who...I loved that post. I loved this line...

I would rather be a part of "us" even when we're fighting, than to be just "me".

I know I have my moments, and even get into tiffs with people from time to time, but I want everyone to know I think this is a beautiful board where people get honest answers to honest questions about age differences, share stories, get inspired and give encouragement. Ageless is one-of-a-kind and unmatched by anything else out there on this topic.

To the administrators, congratulations on a job well done! I hope this board continues to thrive and be an inspiration to people in age-gap relationships.

Happy Valentine's Day
