Not a Golddigger!

I was on an age gap thread in another forum and someone recommended this site. Overall, I do not find too many problems with dating a much older man, and any irritations that do occur because of our age difference are because of the attitudes of people around us.

People think I am a golddigger even though some months I make more money than my boy-fiend. They think I have daddy issues even though my man is nothing like my father and I have a very healthy and happy relationship with my dad. It's so juvenile, the discrimination we face from others. Fortunately, as I said, it doesn't rear its head too often, but it's a comfort that there is an online community like this to turn to who understands and realizes that the soul is an ageless wonder, and people are compatible regardless of how many times they've been around the sun.

Hey as long as you are comfortable with the age gap and your relationship, over time the world will cease to matter. I still deal with that gold digger comment but who cares? I don't anymore!

Of course you're not a gold digger, but some people just have to say something derogatory about those things they don't understand or don't approve of.

Now ME on the otherhand, I AM a gold digger. I've been holding out for an independently wealthy swimsuit model; so if you happen to meet up with one send her my way.

My guy is 23 years older...yes, emotionally there were Daddy-issues, but the truth is...they were emotionally issues that I'd project on ANY guy because my MO was that I wanted to be taken care emotionally...classic codependency...whether he's my age, younger or older...so, that aside and settled. I see my guy's beautiful essence (MOST of the time) and it definitely ageless. Welcome! :)

Welcome to agelesslove. I have never heard the "goldigger" word used but I have seen it in the way people look at us when we are together. It is intensely frustrating isn't it. The daddy issues too, because it even made me wonder at times if I did have daddy issues when I knew very well I had none. Mind games-its all up there...:tongue2:
