I was reading "Variety" magazine and was "dazzled" by this ad from an upcoming movie in may 2004! For all you horror movie fanatics, this movie seems to solve all our quest in learning the orgins of the Van Helsig. From what I know of the Van Helsig's, this is a family dedicated to killing mostly vampires. Now in this movie Hugh Jackman(X Men Wolverine) and Kate Beckinsale( Serendipity) will be starring in this movie. Van Helsig is going to fight 3 monsters...Dracula, Wolfman and Frankenstein all in one movie! I want to see this movie because I have a large crush on Kate! Besides that I think that when I see the preview trailer for this movie, it wont be like that other disaster vampire movie by James Woods! Tune in!
This is being done by the same people who brought you the Mummy which was a pretty good flick.
I've seen a brief on-line trailer that don't include any true screen shots, just some animation. Still very cool looking. Dracula does not appear to be the traditional suave guy in a cape but more of a demonic creature. Frankenstien looks pretty pieced together. Wolfman... well... he looks like wolfman.
Hugh Jackman is cool... And rumor is they can't afford to do any more X-Men films after this next one because it would cost over 40 million in just casting alone, so Wolverine fans, keep an eye out for a solo movie with a few cameos.

It would be great to see Captain America and possibly Iron Man in the movies. I think Marvel comics should release more of their characters in movies. It works and I am willing to pay 9-10 per movie just to watch it. I did not know this movie is from the makers of the mummy. I just dont like Drac with a demon like features. I like the traditional man/bat/smoke type.
I have to disagree...
With all the liberties movie companies take in making films based on comic books, I would rather they never atempt some.
X-Men was a rare film. It managed to take almost 40 years of comic book history which includes hundreds of characters and make it into a decent 90 min flick that fans and non fans alike could enjoy. Daredevil in my mind fell very short and while it had a few good moments, it was plastic and the story was just god awful compared to how they could have presented it.
The best parts of the movie were of DD's sidekick Foggy played by John Faverau. Brilliant acting and the best lines of the movie hands down.
Iron Man would be very tricky to do but with T3 and the Hulk pushing special effects yet again, it might work if once again, the script were good enough to hold it together. Capt. America is also difficult. You can't make it preachy or you risk loosing people who come in for the fantasy aspects. Set it in WWII as a good war drama with the Capt. only seen in the last part of the movie and you might have a winner. Just use Bryan Hitch and Mark Miller's version from the Ultimae line of comics and the costume won't look goofy either.
Sorry if I sound like a dork but as someone who has written a couple of movie scripts and who writes comic books, I get a little too opinionated for some people.

Do you remember the movie Spawn? I saw it and really enjoyed it and the reasons why I think most marvel comic heros can ring in the bucks because of technology in the movie industry. It gets better and better!
