Hello all!
I signed up for this forum a long time ago, but just now started logging in. I'm 38, married to a woman 23 years older than I am. She was brave, because at the time I proposed to her, she was literally twice my age.
I've found that our age gap is almost never an issue. We are so massively compatible in other ways it is rarely any kind of issue. With one exception, which is the differences physically age-wise. She is 61 now, and starting to slow down a bit. She is still very active, and I don't see that changing much any time soon. But I do notice that she get tired more easily.
I married her knowing full well that as time passed this would be the case, and that in all likelihood I would outlive her. But there is a bit of sadness in me about this. Not that it makes me love her any less, but it is a reminder that people change over time, physically if nothing else, and not always for the better.
Over time, of course, I will catch up with her once again. When I'm 65, she will be 88, and we will be "seniors" together! :-)
