This Weekend

What is everyone doing this weekend? Anything exciting , or just staying home because of the gas prices? I'm going to a concert tonight , and visiting Rich's mom tomorrow.I know , it sounds so exciting LOL

I may be going to our little cabin to see how things are going.

Hopefully going to see the Indiana Jones movie, watching the Indy 500 and gearing up for my paintball game on the 1st.

I know, I used to have to work every Sunday at my old job. I used to work in a distribution center for Gap Inc.

Taking my 10 year old daughter and one of her friends (who's also coming up for the weekend) to the first Navy Pier fireworks of the season; we'll spend the day in the Loop, at Millenium Park, Navy Pier, etc. Should be a LOT of fun! :yes:

Not much going on here. Catching up on stuff around the house, reading (Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility") and SLEEP! Usually I lie low on these 3-day weekends--everything's so crowded!

I went out with my girlfriends to celebrate my friend's 40th birthday. A whole bunch of us women, all around the age of 40. One is pregnant waddling around in a black short dress and heels. I say that since she was a real trouper...we went to a bar, then out to restaurant. Then back to the bar again. As we walked in...one guy our age with a much younger girl said loudly "watch out for all the cougars!" looking at us. I got looked up and down by this other guy, I could not tell what he was thinking (he was in his 20s). I was very uncomfortable but it was funny. We all went out in the hall to sit and some ladies went home. The rest of us went across town to another place with a live band and danced. I am now home now.

Even with one gal pregnant, I guess since there were a lot of us (like 14 ladies), we made a grand cougar entrance.

One older dude was begging us to stay at the bar all drunk.

I never go out to clubs much...or bars like that (hip type ones). I hate the label cougar but I guess I should embrace it.

Going to bed now. Nighty-night.

One of my friends is going back home to Ireland since her postdoc position is finished, so yesterday we all went out for one last night of craziness with her before she leaves. I miss her already. *sniff*

Tonight I'm going to watch a UFC fight at a sportsbar with some friends, and tomorrow we're going to see Indiana Jones.

This afternoon I'm being kind of lazy, just hanging around and reading. I'll probably go to the gym in a little while.

Just back from a vacation to Texas so now have to catch up on all the neglected things around here....so I guess yard work, dishes, house cleaning is on the agenda!!
