I'm 33 and in a relationship with a man of 23. It's been difficult for me as I'm so scared of what his and my family would say if they found out what our ages are. We really love each other, but only a few people know about our age difference. I tell myself to take each day as it comes, but it's easier said than done. The closer we get the more worried I get. I'm anxious all the time and he keeps trying to put me at ease by telling me it does not bother him. He says it's between us and if we love each other other people must just get used to the idea. I'm still worried, especially about him as he is the younger one.

I'm in desperate neet of some encouragement. Please talk to me.

What you're feeling is normal. Many of us have felt the same exact thing.

I've found that submersing myself in this site and reading all the stories, good and bad, helped me tremendously when I was feeling insecure. There is comfort in numbers and seeing so many more with age gaps like mine gave me security when I felt weak.
