The man is gone, the legend lives on

Bo Diddley died yesterday. He was one of the founders of rock 'n' roll (for those of you who weren't around in the 50's) and changed the sound of music forever.

He influenced Springsteen, Buddy Holly, Johnny Otis, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, and dozens more with his music. Do your ears a favor--find some Bo Diddley music and play it. R.I.P.

Jim McKay died also this weekend.

"Jim McKay elegantly covered competitions from badminton to barrel jumping. Yet he may best be remembered for that grim day at the Munich Olympics when he broke the news with three simple words: "They're all gone."

The groundbreaking sportscaster died Saturday of natural causes at his farm in Monkton, Md. He was 86."
