Hi there :D I'm Willdernessgirl ... and I found this site thru a pretty round-about way actually :D I was on another site reading, soul-searching, questioning, and looking for support and found a wonderful friendship with a member of that sight. Over the past few months my friend and I have been rocks and supports and shoulders to one another as we try to navigate our relationships with our vym.
I have been with my VYM for 1.5 yrs ... there are 15 yrs between us but I've found it's so easy to forget the AG. The only issue we've really had that is age related has been other people's acceptance of our relationship - we keep most people out of the loop and let them speculate :D Our problems have really been your typical relationship troubles ... with maybe some maturity issues tossed in there just to remind me once in a while how much younger he is than I. The past few months have been a very trying time for me with a lot of thinking, crying and looking for answers - knowing full-well there may never be a good answer for all of my questions.
Anyway ...my new friend recommended a particular thread on this site (Cardinal Rules for dating a VYM) and since then I have been lurking, soaking up a lot of inspiration, knowledge, insight from all the wonderful people in this forum. I feel like I already know a lot of members here just from following their stories, trying to find differences and similarities to my own story. It has helped a lot ... I'm at a crossroads right now and I'm reaching out in the relationship support forum for some assistance and guidance ... with all the truly insightful messages I've read on this forum in the past few months, I just know that I'll get some much needed clarity and assistance from the great people here :D
