Does anyone here use it or heard alot of successful stories from friends or family? Any bad experiences? I am thinking about buying one to bulk up because my job requires extensive physical work. I want to get rid of my flat tire and beer belly(Even though I dont drink alot of beer) lol!

But, I hear most of those "home workout center" thingies are just a gimic. They get ya to spend your money and it breaks on the 31st day.

Anyway, my dad's never used that stuff and he was a shrimp when he started workin there. . .and now he's got broad *** shoulders and arms bigger than. . well me :). Just takes practice. Stay at it a while and it'll feel like nothin. Its like a baby: you have to crawl before you can walk. And, now we all can run :). Good luck with your decision though Ty, I hate to see an honest man get ripped off.

I tell ya bro..after working 10 hours a day, I wont have time to go to a gym unless I stop using the pc at home..besides by having a fitness machine at home, I dont have to try to pick up OW's working out. Many peeps just go to the gym to work out..not to pick up someone LOL!

Ah, dont' you love late night infomercials! Actually my Dad has one and loves it...he doesn't use it as often as he would like....too busy picking up on YW...how funny is that! I have always wanted to try it...but too afraid I'll hurt myself :)

Dumbells

If you want anything for home training, buy dumbells. Nothing is more versatile or cost effective. Maybe get yourself a decent bench with an adjustable incline if you want. There are so many exercises you can do with dumbells, and work the whole body.

As Ronin says Tyg get yourself a set of dumbells .......... A large mirror can be helpful at first so that u can keep check that u r doing the exercises properly ........ There should be a basic exercise sheet with the dumbells, u can also get several books with lots of ideas in ........ The other thing u r gonna have to to do is aerobic ( something that raises the heartbeat) exercise of some kind ...... I use powerwalking (cheap, effective an can be done anywhere :D eg to an from work) ............ The other thing u r gonna have to do is clean up ur diet, again u should find plenty of books to guide u....


Oh there is one more thing tyg ..... u ain't gonna see results overnight! so keep at it, it takes time an effort :(

Skipping rope is a good way to get cardio too. Inexpensive, great of the calves, develops coordination as well, skip steady for ten minutes - you'll be gasping for air!

another way is to skip rope inbetween sets on the weights

If you have a partner. Sex is a good workout. That will get you breathing heavy. And you can burn calories too.

Thanks...I love food and it is hard to adapt to new style of eating. I noticed that most of my excess pounds are in the belly. Someone keeps telling me to lay off the beer but I reply and say..this belly represents 5 thanksgivings and christmases!

I ditto what Ronin says about the bench that inclines and the dumb bells.

I work out at the gym 2 x a week and the same question was asked of our coach there and he said DONT waste your money on expensive equpiment, then he repeated the exact same words that ronin did. AND THAT MAN HAS MUSCLES! He said that is what he uses at his home.
