Now that Memorial Day is behind us, I think it's safe to say taht summer is upon us!

What's everyone have in store for this summer? I'll be in New York next week with three of my classmates, doing plenty of sightseeing. Then I'm going to California June 30-July 9 to visit some relatives and (again) more sightseeing.

After that, who knows? I'm lucky to still have my job at my undergraduate school's library, at least until I find work elsewhere. I start grad school the last week of August, so I'm trying to enjoy every minute of the next three months!!!

http://www.smilies.org/basesmilies3/sun_smiley.gif I'll be going to Tunisia for one week in mid June, http://www.smilies.org/basesmilies3/smiliee.gif where I can be found in the beach drinking fruit juice and getting some tan...then off to Salisbury I go to visit my English ageless gang for 4 days in the end of June, and in August I go to Scotland for the summer festival of Edinburgh where one of my best friends live http://www.smilies.org/basesmilies3/karoli.gif (and we'll be celebrating UKfireball birthday!http://www.smilies.org/basesmilies3/ban_dance01.gifhttp://www.smilies.org/basesmilies3/ban_dance02.gif).

When I say that I like travelling, I am not kidding!

I would probably take my dad to Vegas on his birthday on July or go to the Grand Canyon. I would be just chilling at home and going to the beach on weekends to take my "coffee walks".

Ahhhhhh, Summer . . . my favorite time of the year 'cuz I like it HOT. And if you like it hot, Dallas is the place to be in summer. It's certainly not for heat wimps!!!!

I'm going to be doing a lot of laying by the pool and swimming during the day and a lot of skinny dipping at night!!!

Am going back to the Big Island of Hawaii the end of July and can't wait to be there again. Such diversity . . . I could move there in a heartbeat.

And Joe and I are planning a run to Bossier City to gamble and live it up at the Horseshoe the end of June and maybe another one before summer is over.

Alas, I'm sure summer will be over way before I'm ready for it to be.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe summer, whatever you decide to do.

Well....if it ever decides to get dry and warm in PA...*LOL*

Probably my dad and I will take our car to a bunch of car cruises. Got antique plates for it this year. A good ole 1978 Dodge Monaco. As big as a small stretched limit. Two doors. Doors are about four foot long. It's a big thing. *LOL* About 95% of it is still the original parts and equipment. Even have the original tires (though not on the car....had to take 'em off cause the side walls dry-rotted)....

The kicker...it even has the original new car smell to it. *LOL* And, hardly any visible rust. Maybe on the inside of the door or wheel well...but, only a small mark.

Him and I are proud of that thing...*LOL*

That, of course...is if it gets nice out.

My summer starts out with my niece's wedding....its a huge outdoor wedding, dance, the whole thing. My daughters and son are in the wedding and we have been preparing for it the last 6 months.....that's on the 7th of June.....the 16th I meet for the first time an internet guy special friend of mine that I have been talking to from Dallas (he is 30 y/o, not from ageless)....can't wait for that!!!

Then sometime this summer Im planning 3 other short trips, 1 to Oklahoma city to see my sister, and 1 to San Antonio with my daughter and maybe another one somewhere where there is a BEACH......we might take a short trip to Austin too, my daughter and I just to visit old friends and eat Mexican food with and drink Kool Aid with Mark_Texas and HOPEFULLY pick up our MAVS hat we are going to win this week!!!!

The rest of the time will be work and sun and lazy summer days.

Hopefully, we'll be building a deck onto the front of our house and replacing our bay window with two french doors leading out onto the deck from the living room.

We'll be in Englewood, Florida on our family vacation from July 19th to July 26th. We go down there when my folks are down there, it's a special, relaxing time for us all. My parents especially likes being around the kids because they just enjoy the ocean and fishing so much! :) I spend my days down there collecting shells, basting in the sun, swimming in the lukewarm waters of the Gulf, and snorkeling early in the morning when the surf is teaming with wildlife. Robin likes to go waaaaay out and find sanddollars. He's a great swimmer. At night, we go out and watch for sea turtles coming up to lay their eggs, as well as nests hatching out. A Loggerhead turtle is about as big as the hood of a car! They're absolutely amazing. The babies are little 2-inch replicas, scrambling to get to the surf. They bubble out of the nests like popcorn!

The end of the summer, I'll be driving my son back and forth every day to soccer camp, as he is bound and determined to make the high school soccer team (he'll be a freshman next year). He has no worries, he's been on select teams since he was 8!

Desperately trying to lose that pesky 20 pounds before I actually have to face myself in the mirror in a swimsuit! :( In the meantime, I'm tanning. Fat looks better when it's tanned! :)

Joe, we went through that. Robin has a son we fought for custody for. I can tell you what we did right, and what we did wrong. PM me or e-mail me if you need some advice. Good for you, for being a good father! :)

Well if it ever gets WARM here we have some plans.

Bigbri wants to get season passes to Six Flags Amusement park which is less than an hour from here. that will be fun.

We talk about camping trips and beach trips.

It's our first summer together so we will probably do a lot of smaller things.

Of course in the middle of the summer (mid-July) Brian is moving.

Cool, everyone is doing so many neat things. I'm going to London to meet with friends I've chatted with online. Hope to do a couple of cruises this summer. My friend rents a house up in Maine every year and then invites us all at the end of the summer. We're doing that for a couple of days.

And of cause Orlando and since I'm a reservation agent, I'll see what kind of fam trips there offering for weekends here and there at a discount. Now that I'm back to working full time (thank goodness) there's more money with places to go and people to see written all over it....lol

Paris

P.S. Is it ever going to get warm here in the East Coast, I just don't know how to dress anymore.
