We should study this phenomenon: we are almost all born in the same date...

What kind of bug is this? The 69 bug? http://www.smilies.org/basesmilies3/1053098345.gif

You guys! I am serious! The 69 is just a small joke but there's really some kind of bug that makes most of our birthdates change to Dec 31/1969!!!
My birthday is good on my options (october 8, libra, yes, Tyger!), but when you go to my profile, you see that strage date...

Oh, guys, you are too funny! :D

But on a more serious note. . .I haven't seen anyone with this birthday. Maybe there were a lot of mommies who wanted the first New Year baby and fell just a little short

Someone else complained about this lately, I don't remember who. Then I started looking at various profiles at random, and it's true, even mine changed to Dec 31...it looks like a bug and it's surely one, for I can't change it!!!
:(

i agree maria, i want to go back to being the fierce leo metal rat that i am! :)

upon further investigation (because, you know i have no life) it seems that those of us lucky enough to have birthdays before december 31, 1969 default to that date, however those with b-days after that show up correctly.

hmph. that seems like ageism to me. anyone offended?? :D

well i AM so glad SOMEONE finally brought this up...I'm here thinking we have an INTRUDER on the boards that keeps registering with FALSE IDENTITIES and putting down the SAME birthday, LOL. Thinking, WOW, must be a pain to have to go to that MUCH trouble to register so many different peeps...JUST TO POST:D ROFL......NOW i know WHY=) thinking here....yeah...I'd go back to being 34....but that's it...any younger and I'd still be in my stupid, ignorant phase=)....hmmmm wonder if that phase really GONE now;)

I love your signature, WH, secure your future - invent it!

The only part of the site accessible to me now is this, Older Women/Younger Men Forum...the rest is down, but this has been happening a lot lately, so I dont know if they are working on our birthdays!

If they are working on it, it is taking them a LOOOONNNGGGGG time, because the main database has been down ALL day!!!

As Al said on another thread, this thing of all of us having the same birthdays, makes this board truly Ageless!!

Maria, you can navigate down to the OM/YM board by using the Forum Jump at the bottom of the page.

Thanks Peachy, now I can move around!

...and yes, I had said it too earlier in this thread, now that we are all born the same day, there are no more younger or older!

Not bad, huh?

I agree Wildheaven - - - it is definitely better to take charge of your life. I have some conflicting thoughts on this because on the one hand I believe we do invent our our futures and on the other hand I believe in fate or karma . . . battle with those two issues all the time. Sometimes, I think we THINK we are inventing our own future, and then think that's what would have happened anyway because of fate!!!

Maria

I think both (fate and inventing the future) are possible, actually. When we think of time, we are limited by our concept of the world we live in, so we have very strict and probably false notions of time and space.
It's very hard for me to explain this in English and by writing, but I think it's possible that our future is already known and decided (what we call fate) and if we think that there are other dimensions where time is different and from where we can see everything that happened, is happening and will happen...as if we were looking from a higher place down and we saw a circle. The beginning, the middle and the end of things all together. For us, living in that circle, we wouldn't know anything about our future and would just live day by day, deciding our future, inventing it according to our will.

I drank some wine tonight, so maybe that's okay if I go metaphysics and esoteric...:D I think the reason why some people can read into the past and the future of others could be explained by their transposition into that other dimension. They would float above and “catch” all that knowledge.

Ohlala, I have to stop this wine. It's not good for my scientific image...but you know, I think a good scientist is the one who leaves the door open to many possibilities still unproven...so, I'll leave this post as crazy as it is!

Makes perfect sense to me Maria . . . and I have not been drinking wine !!!!

I've been sweating in the flower beds all day . . . it was 100 deg. here yesterday and probably that today. Summer has arrived . . . finally . . . and I hope it stays hot from now on!!!

I bought flowers today, I had already planted some about two weeks ago, but now I have more different kinds and also some aromatic herbs...

It was a very nice saturday, wonderful evening, dinner, wine and maybe that has helped to wake my mystic side up...

I think it's just a manifestement of your talent. I wouldn't think much beyond that, but of course one never knows. And http://www.smilies.org/basesmilies3/1044200322.gif I haven't had any wine today!

well I put my month and day but never put the year and I never joined the december 31 1969 club. I wonder if it's because i didn't put the year?

Sorry Everybody,

Yes, there was a bug in the code that made a number of birth-dates change to December 31, 1969. It took a little while to sort through, sorry about that but it is okay now.

Regards,
Rob
