It is done

Well, I am alive. I made it through having the eyelids redone. I was awake for the entire thing. He gave me medication that was susposed to make me snooze but it never kicked in. Except for a few pinches and tweaks...ouch! It wasn't terribly bad. He had a mirror and showed me the parts that were sewed back together and it looks nice and smoothly curved so no ZIG ZAG STITCH, thank heavens. The most pain was about an hour after I came home but the pain killer pills kicked in and I slept for 4 hours.

I hated sleeping sitting up all night. I just wanted to curl up in a ball with my teddy bear...;) I kept ice on my eyes off and on. There is a little swelling just over the part where the eyelashes are. Also a very pretty shade of violet as well. It is not entirely under the eye... just kind of down the part where the line of the circle is ladies.

I know for the guys, I have told you more than you wanted to know.

The best thing is my 82 year old Dad picked me up and drove me there and then stayed and brought me home. I know he thinks I am crazy for doing this but he was very caring and sweet. I felt like I did at 5 when my Daddy made all the bad things go away... :)

Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts... it worked. Now I am going to go put more ice on my eyes and later take off these "X" style strips that hold the lids together. I will let you know if my eyeball falls out.
Love,
Barbara

Congratulations, Barbara !!!!

I was thinking of you yesterday. I know you are glad it's over and it won't be long until you will be looking like a new you!!

Just pamper yourself for a few days and enjoy doing nothing. :)

Barbara, now when all the signs of the surgery are gone, you have to take a nice picture and show us!
Glad it all went fine, I had a candle lit for you yesterday.
