Excellent...leaves u 'emotionally' exhausted...but the leading roles are played extremely well....as much as I know about WWII....the pain suffered never ceases to amaze me. I dont think we'll ever be able to fully understand what the Jewish people went through or 'relate'....but this movie touched my heart in a way that I will never forget it....never.

I agree, Singalou. I just saw this movie for the first time a few weeks ago and it really affected me, too. You can buy the book, too... I think I might. I also downloaded a few Szpilman songs... really nice.

I saw this movie a few months ago, it is a true story, and a truly amazing one; I have the deepest respect for people who survived such treatment, and the last time I was in Amsterdam, I took a look round the Anne Franks house, and a few WWII museums, that gave me a greater feeling of what had happened, and just how brave people had been, through such cruelty and hardships.
