Rowan Atkins seems to be a funny guy. I haven't seen him as Mr. Bean before and I think this is going to be a funny movie.

Tru 07-16-2003, 08:19 AM I can't wait to see this. I am addicted to British comedy and Mr.Bean is so cute! I love the previews to this movie and I am hoping it lives up to them! I am hoping to find it still playing in the UK ( I think it was released there already) as I am going there in a week and I would love to see it while there. I may break down and see it before I leave. I think it starts Friday here. Tru 07-16-2003, 04:23 PM I sure did want to watch it there. You know, the whole ambiance thing. Thanks for your offer for a link. I kinda looked myself just now but I don't see it showing near where we are going to be. (Leeds/Bradford). We will be in London one or two days too. We may have a better chance of seeing it there. I asked my BF (British :) ) if he had seen"The Office" but he has only seen it 2 times. I just found out that if I get the more expensive "digital" cable tv in my area I will get BBC America and "The Office" will be on there. As well as my favorites, Faulty Towers, Keeping Up Appearances (gotta love Hyacinth) As Time Goes By and my special favorite, Last of the Summer Wine. I LOVE THOSE GUYS! We are going to try to make it over where they film Last of the Summer Wine while I am there visiting. I can't wait!! I also like the comedy of Jasper Carrott. I watched a video of one of his concert hall appearances last time I was there with my BF's parents. We all laughed so hard! Of course, sometimes they had to "interpret" for me. :P My BF 's favorite is Red Dwarf. I have yet to see it. He has the videos so this visit we must watch them so I can find out what he is so fond of. I was watching an episode of Last of the Summer Wine and they were talking about having a "bacon sarne or sarny". I had to call my BF and say "what the heck is a bacon sarne?" He told me basically a "bacon butty." I said "LOL! What is a bacon butty?" He said "Oh, a bacon sandwich" :P Learn something new everyday! Oops...I kind of got off topic. Back to the movie...I must see "Johnny English" :) If you have a good link I would appreciate it. TY Tru 07-17-2003, 11:50 PM Ok, that is one cool link. We will use that for sure! I will tell my BF about the Peter Kay video. I am sure he will want to rent it. Let me tell you, the last time (every time) I go to visit him, I have to ask him "what did they say?" or "are they speaking English" I don't mean that with any disrespect, I love the Yorkshire accent...it just helps to understand it! My BF, for some reason, does not have it so strongly. Thank goodness! Oh, now I have to find out what a "chip butty" is! Only one week til I am there! Tyger74 07-22-2003, 06:33 PM There was no love scenes. This movie reminds me of Naked Gun and Naked Gun 2 with Leslie Nielsen. I still think Leslie is very funny. I did laugh during this movie but overall I think it is best to wait for it in the movie. I was a bit disappointed because of the plot and I think they should of done better. mqt 08-06-2003, 08:21 AM Originally posted by Tyger74 There was no love scenes.
