I have been talking with a 45 year old women that works in the same building as myself (i'm 25). One day we got on the discussion about dating and she asked me if I would ever date someone older. I said I wouldnt mind as I feel that people connect on personality rather than age. I would date someone younger or older or the same age. I think its based on how you connect. She keeps telling me she curious why I think this way. She has told me that she likes me and thinks highly of me. What kind of sign would you see this as? Is it just conversation or do you think she is interested? Keep in my mind I'm not a good mind reader when it comes to relationships or potential one's. I thank everyone that responds.

If she asked you what you thought of dating someone older - I would definitely take that as a sign of interest! If you are interested in her, ask her out to a casual work-day lunch or cup of coffee and see if your personalities click!

She sounds interested to me. I would take Lalisa's advice and ask her to coffee or lunch, see what happens. I would definately say she is interested gilraen

LOL. I hope Brian won't take your reply seriously but IMO this might be the fastest way to find out if she's interested or not? :D Then again DHShogun got a good point.

Ok, in the real world that night NOT be the right thing to do. But don't us women fantasize about the "take charge" guys who go after what they want and make no bones about it? I for one, sure don't like a man who ASKS if he can kiss me.
I personally think those are signs of interest. Go for it Brian, maybe not so aggressively tho. Ask her out for lunch.

This is a very, very easy one.
If you like her, ask her out. It sounds like she's expressing interest.
If you aren't interested in dating her, don't ask her out.
Don't make this more complicated than it is *g*.
