Introduction

Hello, :) I'm 46 and my husband is 37. Only 9 years difference, but we sure got heckled in our small town when we got married. But we've been married for 11 1/2 years and are as happy as can be.

I saw this webpage in a news report from L.A. the other night and thought I'd check it out. I'm new to this format so please excuse me if I make mistakes. I'll be around as a lurker until I feel more comfortable. Hope that's ok. If anyone has any questions for me, or my marriage, I'll be happy to answer them. Peace.

Hi, Tabby! Cool name... I love cats. Welcome to the board. I can't believe people heckled you for your tiny little age difference! Are people more accepting now? I don't get it... I will never understand why people have a problem with age gaps like that.

The people in that small town had problems for sure. He grew up there, and I was a 'move in'. I guess they were threatened by me. I took 'one of their own'. We moved out of there a year later. It's the best thing we ever did.

Welcome to ageless!! We're definitely always glad to hear success stories like yours. Cowboytx48 is another ow/ym successfully married member. It is truly sad that they gave you two such a hard time over 9 small years difference!! Thats practically nothing!! If you feel brave, we'd love to hear more about your life together. Did you start out with kids, have kids after you were married, how did your families react - all those kinds of things. Its not that we're nosey lol - more like we NEED the affirmations that people like you have to offer. We like to hear that these things CAN work. Well, I take that back, we're somewhat nosey too;)
