I highly recommend this movie to people who want to sit back and relax. The plot is quite simple but for some reason you will feel energy flowing from the start until the end. It left with me a very good feeling. The UK-Indian background music is just marvelous!
Two of my best girlfriends are American Indians. Their parents arrange marriages for both of them. I feel quite bad for them. "Bend it like Beckham" reveals the religious and family traditions of British Indian families. I shouted 'YES!!' out loud to express how happy I see the main actress bent all the traditional rules. She got to play her favorite sports: soccer and also earned herself a passionate boyfriend.
The other main actress is actually the "Elizabeth" in Pirates of the Caribbean. That might add some perks to the movie for those who love her.
Ladies, I also want to introduce this Ireland sweetheart to you: Jonathan Ryes Myers
