YM poll: older sisters?

I was just wondering about something. My y/m has a beloved older sister and growing up was always surrounded by her older girlfriends - he consequently ran with an older crowd and before me dated a couple of these older girls. Now while conversing with a y/m through this site, he reveals exactly the same pattern. How many other y/m out there were early on influenced by an older sister & her friends? Could this be the beginning of the o/w desire imprint on you guys? I'd just like to see what others have to say - could be interesting . . .

This is a very good thread, and I think this theory has merit. I am ten years older than my bf, and he has an older sister who is right around my age (she's actually 2 years younger than I am, but close enough). I think he is better able to relate to older people than most guys his age, and his sister is probably one of the reasons why.

I don't have any sisters at all - I'm the oldest of three boys, each separated by about 2 years.

I have four sisters. All older than me.Our ages are 48,52,56,& 60. All of us four years apart. Yes I was always around "older" women.

With me it was my cousins. They are all between 10 and 22 years older than me. Also, my saga continues with my o/w. She is still hesitant because I am 11 years younger but we are progressing slowly but surely. I love her more than anything so I won't give up.

I was surprised when I read this cause just recently I heard that my YM who was an only child, did have a half sister live with them for his first two years. She was a little over ten years older, and he used to love being held in her lap, and she would stroke his hair and cuddle him to sleep.

I am ten years older than my YM, and he likes me to do that to him. He lays his head in my lap, and he likes me to hold and stroke his hair, and he often falls asleep like that. I thought it was so cute, and thought it was what his mom used to do, but just learned it was his older sister.

Wow, I am so surprised. I learn so much interesting things on this site!!:) I found out he missed his sister so much after she left when he was two. So I guess that is why he enjoys my attention so much, :)
