Mood Music

After the other post about embarrassing music that was just to lighten things up a bit, what romantic music would you play for him or her to get them in the mood ?(lets face it this really means her, men can get in the mood listening to dogs fart)
I find Roberta Flack singing the first time ever I saw your face, always goes down a storm, slip that on during dinner guys and she's yours.
Although I did know a girl who's idea of romantic music was Meatloaf-Bat out of hell and Def Leppard-Hysteria, It certainly got things rocking mind you
I know this is not a music site but I find it interesting getting some of the replies from the people, they don't realise they are giving their ages away when talking about something they like from their youth......... shhh don`t tell them..... ;) And the music they like does give a different picture of some of the members, some flowery named member suddenly takes on a new image in my mind if they pick Marilyn Manson or Red Hot chilli peppers

LOL well Roberta Flack never has worked with me LOL ............ For a very long time it was Rainbow's 'Makin Love' the beat was just perfect, if u know what I mean ;)

Nowadays it is Missy E almost any track from the 'So Addictive' album is cool........... or Evanescence :).......... very different types of music I know, but they both have the same effect ;)

Hmm..I am sure I don't know you. ;) Def Leppard's HYSTERIA is so good for "the mood" whoohoo. Rock and roll for me...that is all I will say about that.....

Have we met?

Mind you, it's the tune that does it for me, and I generally pay little attention to the lyrics, which probably explains my taste.

Breathe by Moist
Only God Knows Why by Kid Rock
Hanging By a Moment by Lifehouse

I think the most erotic song out there today is Pink Floyd's Shine on you Crazy Diamond, Revised (track 6)
from the Wish You Were Here, CD
That whole CD is great

My husband would LOVE you Bedazzled.....he LOVES Pink Floyd and that CD.....but.....I am not much of a Pink Floyd fan...in the car sometimes we do have our rifts over music...he is ALWAYS trying to put in a Pink Floyd Cd,and say's all I want to play is Pearl Jam(not true)....good thing we have our own car's,,,,it's the weekends when we have the music thing happen and we are in the same car:(

re: Crazy Diamond

I have a "Crazy Diamond".....she's a black and white greyhound with a pretty diamond mark on her forehead and she's named "Diamond"...and yes, she's crazy:)

but really...I will give the song a listen ,we have like every Pink Floyd song there is I think...some of them I just don't get??? but like I said,my husband LOVES them...he will be thrilled when I ask him to play the entire song for me.

Naf...yep that will make him happy. Hasan has every thing they have ever recorded...Quite amazing for someone 24 years old.

What I love about Pink Floyd is the amazing guitar and vocal harmonies. They are a very talented group.

But I like Pearl Jam too...:D

Pearl Jam Lyrics

Sheets of empty canvas, untouched sheets of clay,
Were laid spread out before me as her body once did.
All five horizons revolved around her soul,
As the earth to the sun.
Now the air I tasted and breathed has taken a turn.
And all I taught her was everything...
I know she gave me all that she wore...

And now my bitter hands shake beneath the clouds,
Of what was everything.
All the pictures have all been washed in black...
...tattooed everything.

I take a walk outside. I'm surrounded by some kids at play.
I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear?
And twisted thoughts that spin around my head...
I'm spinning...I'm spinning...
How quick the sun can drop away.

And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass,
Of what was everything.
All the pictures have all been washed in black...
...tattooed everything.
All the love gone bad turned my world to black...
...tattooed all I see...all that I am...all I'll be.

I know someday you'll have a beautiful life,
I know you'll be a star in somebody else's sky
But why, why, why can't it be mine?

OH MY GOD that was BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I like Moody Blues too

bedsitter people look back and lament
over another day uselessly spent

empassioned lovers wrestle as one
new mother picks up and suckles her son
senior citizens wish they were young

Cold hearted orb that rules the night
removes the colors from out sight
red is grey and yellow white
but we decide which is right
and which is an illusion

I know I'm missing something, correct it for me please.

Kiss Beth is a good one, but I like the Eric Carr version of the song better (Smashes Thrashes and Hits album).

:o :o :o

I read this and said, "Wait a minute -- I've got that album -- that wasn't Paul Stanley??"

No -- duh! It's written right on the song list: "with Eric Carr vocals". Shows you how much attention I pay to CD covers!

I learn something new every day.........

Mood Music?

"Fumbling Towards Ecstacy" by Sarah McLachlan...the whole CD is very evocative and sensual.

Chalk yet another one up for us Canadians :-)

Talisman

...And I'll be the one to hold you down
And kiss you so hard I'll take your breath away
And after I wipe away the tears
Just close your eyes, dear..
