What Have You Done This Summer?

I can't believe summer is practically over! I start grad school this week and Labor Day is only one week away.

What has everyone done this summer? Highlights of the last three months? Anything you wish you could do all over? Anything you wanted to do but didn't?

Let's see: I went to New York in early-June with three of my friends to celebrate our college graduation. And then California in early-July to visit family. Both trips wre the two highlights of my summer, most definitely!

I went swimming at the local swim club as much as possible, but Maryland has had its wettinst summer in over a decade. There comes the part of things I didn't get done: I wanted to clean the deck at my backyard, plus renovate the garden in my backyard, but the lousy weather prevented such things from happening.

On the flip side, I did manage to find a job! And I got a raise after being on the job for only three weeks! And I like the people I work for, too.

Tell me about your summer, everyone!

Short and wet in Pennsylvania too, awhi! My work ends mid June and starts back up mid August but I take classes so I had them twice a week for most of the summer. I did manage to get away to the beach for ten days.. and it was spectacular! As usual! I also took a little overnight jaunt to Hershey Park. I turn into this huge kid when I'm in an amusement park...~laffs~...so I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed that as well!

My summer hasn't quite ended yet..thankfully. I'm taking another ten day vacation the end of September. This time I'm going to Nags Head, NC. I've never been there before so I'm rather excited about going. There are ten of us from one of my work places heading down there for a little fun in the sun, last hurrah kind of thing. We got a beach house for a very, very cheap rate.

So that's about it for me. I was planning on going to see Bruce Springsteen in a few weeks in DC but I don't think I'll make it. I also didn't get my day trip to NYC in this year but I'm sure I'll get there sometime in November..~s~ And with all the other stuff I had going on, I really can't complain! All in all it was a great summer!!

Not just the summer but the whole year is going by real fast, too fast for me. I worked a lot, still am. I drive a truck for a beer distributor and summer is real busy. I also started my plumbing apprenticeship class in college a couple of weeks ago too. I'm hoping to start taking some art classes soon to at the college that i'm attending. I can't wait for fall though. My favorite time of year !

Short and wet here in the NY/NJ area too :(

I went to NC to visit my new Mother-in-Law for a week, during which time she fell and broke her hip......no, I didn't have anything to do with it!;)

Also, we bought a house-that's been keeping us busy since we closed in August. Finally moved in last week and I suppose we will spend the autumn unpacking.
