and I did hear your complaints about the controversial thread. My thanks to you all for tolerating it for a few hours. *hugs*
However, from this point on everything of this sort MUST be kept to private messages and emails. We are not going to let fights between one or two people, and not just these group of people but this applies to everyone, contaminate the boards.
So, when a post pops up that I feel is an attack on someone else....I am going to delete it. Any post that does not live up to the standards and rules on the site will be removed.
We have lost members, but we gain new members every day, and we can do our best to keep this a supportive site for them, and for ourselves.
Thanks again everyone...*HUGS*
a big old kiss to you! (hug from me...kiss from my cow...)

Oh but what a day to post that thread........lol
I posted an invite to ageless love on another website dealing with age gap relationships yesterday evening.
Telling them what a great site ageless is! 78 people came here today and looked over the site from there. 2 joined the site being in an OM/YW relationship and looking at that side of the forums on here.
The others went right back to their site saying things like
[QUOTE]Maybe it's just me but I was honestly surprised at some of the posts. Some get upset and downright rude there. They give more negative feedback than what I expect or even want.
For whatever reasons we all come here and hopefully make friends, certainly not enemies. I personally would never post to someone's thread bashing them with negative feedback.
I noticed above that **** visited there today and she mentioned that there must be a cat fight going on.
[QUOTE]no offense to you and SmilinGal...to each his own. I just prefer to stay where it's friendlier.. [QUOTE]
But the good news is......since my post on the other site is still there. That maybe people will come and see your side being a supportive and helpful site from here on out???

Oh ICK!!!! I'm so sorry. Maybe you could post a quote from me on the other site?
You know, this situation had been going on for darn near a year, and it was only a handful of people (three or four) out of 4,000 members. Darn, I feel bad though.
Maybe the good that will come out of it will be that with what you posted here people will see the impression new people get of the site with that kind of stuff going on......it's nothing but negative.
*hugs* to you, Rolls. If there is anything I can do to help out with the damage, just let me know.
I think next time one of those situations develop, I will just come hang out on your side of the boards where things stay peaceful!

joanna,
Well theres nothing you did to cause it, so no apologies needed on your part. Your just trying to keep the peace here.
Its just a shame that instead of being a support site this side has turned into a battle zone. And apparently has been for some time.
I'll post one more reply to my thread inviting people to ageless from the other site then go back over to the YW/OM side.
Years ago I used to post on that site and found a completely different enviroment there. It was much more hospitable and friendly then. Members exchanged receipes and advice with equal ease. For reasons I still don't understand, as the membership increased and management changed hands, it became more confrontational. I very rarely visit there any more.
No offense Rollsharley - I'm sure there will be folks that will stumble across your post and find some refuge/knowledge there to gain.
Best of luck to you and Maria!
