It would really mean a lot to me if you guys watched the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day telethon this sunday-monday. It starts sunday night at 9pm EST and lasts till monday evening. I'm not asking for you to donate any money, but just watch some of it if you can, you might learn something. Here is a list of the channels it will be on(.pdf adobe acrobat file) (http://www.mdausa.org/telethon/media/telstations.PDF).

Thanks.

I have watched it EVERY year since I was little!
I love it!
When we were younger, we used to always have the MD carnivals and send the money in. Our parents had hay rides, barn dances and us kids had balloon popping, ducky games, fishing games. So every year we would send our money in and hopefully hear our families name on the show.
I loved the carnival kits, infact if they still do that I might have to have one in our neighborhood, we live across from a park.
We will be watching!!

Also, check the news papers and see if your local firestaion is having any activities, and if you want to donate and don't want to use a credit card over the phone you can go to the firestation and donate.

I watch every year-I even remember watching with my Mom when I was a kid. Mom and I chat every year after it's over and talk about Jerry singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" and he does every year.

Our local firemen have this annual MD fundraiser that consists of them standing in the middle of our town's main street in their firemen uniforms....they hold their empty boots out so people in passing cars can pause and put donations in them. EVERYONE stops and "heavies the boot". Traffic is backed up for a day, but seeing the firemen out there every year feels really good, familiar, and gives us all a sense of communal spirit and hope for a cure for MD.
