It's that time once again when I can't figure out what I want to do for vacation.

goto the UK or Ireland. Ireland is very Beautful Now parts of the UK are a Shit-hole I mean that! Take London for example. Homeless every where.. From West of Essex stay away from the females... They have more STDs then teeth NO joke! but I would Recommend UK.

I'll take that "rousing endorsement" of London into consideration.

I'm thinking the U.S., though.

haunted there are so many places in the US that I love I wouldn't know where to begin. How far can you go? Fly? Drive? What do you want to do there? Hotel? Camp? I love the Gulf of Mexico. I love Sedona Arizona. I love the mountains of West Virginia. I love the Big Basin redwood forest in California,
from the mountains to the prairies to the oceans white with FOAM, GOD BLESS AMERICA, MY HOME SWEET HOOOOOMMMMEE

sorry got carried away :D

Hmmmmm . . . the answer to this question really depends on how far you want to go and what your interests are.

I take island vacations, and don't really want to do much of anything when I'm on vacation as I go to relax. Three of my favorites are Moorea, Grand Cayman and the Big Island of Hawaii.

All three of these would be quite a trip from Indiana tho.

Well, unfortunately, this is hurricane season in Florida, but my fave vacation spot is Englewood, FL on the Gulf Coast, about half way down the penninsula. Anywhere along the Gulf Coast that isn't too populated is always nice. :)

You're only a state away from me though, so if you were planning a short trip, Red River Gorge, KY is beautiful, lots of caves, very scenic. You just can't beat Tennessee, the Great Smoky Mountains to see the leaves change. They change about a month or three weeks earlier than they do for us. My folks just came back from Crystal Lake, Virginia, right on the Appalachian Trail. They said it was just beautiful. Michigan is great too, rent a cabin up on the lakes. A friend of mine is going up there in a couple of weeks.

Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Very beautiful and friendly place! Small town feeling, not as stuffy as Vail or Aspen...or as expensive. Great skiing (I have heard...I only ski green :D ) Lots of fun stuff to do besides skiing. Snowmobiling, sleigh rides, live music, cross country skiing, enjoying the view. :)

Nothing I have seen as breathtaking as the Rocky Mountains. So majestic...so amazing.

For a nice place closer to home, there is Door County, Wisconsin. It is often compared to the east coast's rugged shoreline. Lots of shops, water activities on inland lakes and Lake Michigan, wonderful restaurants, incredible scenic beauty, lighthouses, camping, offshore islands to explore, and last but not least ... the home of the fish boil. One of my favorite places in the midwest. And one of the best places to stay while there is the White Gull Inn, a bed and breakfast in Fish Creek.

Lake Tahoe, Ca has always been, and will likely always be one of my favorite places to take a vacation.

I've been many places across this great nation of ours and I swear, i've never been anywhere so comofrtable and so nice in my life.

Of course, second up would definatly be Oahu :)

Even though I've never been there, I'm going to say Phoenix, Arizona. I'm going there in a couple of days to visit my sweetie, and there's no place in the world I'd rather be!:D

As far as places I've been that I'd recommend, I really enjoy traveling in my own state. San Francisco's always a delightful city in which to vacation. I also like the Monterey/Carmel/Santa Cruz area that's a bit south of S.F.

Newport, Rhode Island is a wonderful vacation spot. Now, of course, I'm a little bias because I live here. But I know I'm right because every summer we have more tourists than our poor little island knows what to do with. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in the summer for that reason, but Spring and Fall are great!

And I don't work for the Newport County Convention and Visitor's Bureau, but they should pay me because I'm always promoting my hometown. LOL!

Trish I was just in Newport last Spring. My son had a skateboard contest at Skaters Island, Midtown I think. My guy used to surf at 2nd beach so I went there to check it out. Some friends of his live up on the cliff there. My daughter and I like the mansions and the shops
