Anyone Know Why?

I am ALWAYS tired!!! I can get 8 hours, 4 hours, 2 hours, 6 hours of sleep and I will ALWAYS be tired! I take vitamins daily and have started to work out. The only thing that does is make it easier to wake up in the morning. But an hour or two after getting into work, I'm sluggish and very tired.

Any suggestions?

the best thing to do is make an appt with your doctor for a complete physical and bloodwork. I am the same way but it's my thyroid disorder and depression (a symptom of my thyroid disorder).

But all in all, it could be anything causing it so it would be best to consult your doctor to see if there is a medical explanation for how you are feeling.

I hope all works out for you!

Hugs.....

Thanks!

I know I should go to the doctor, but I don't have time. I think it's about time that I make time :)

Do not pass go....

EM, for me it was an iron deficiency....discovered when I was REJECTED for donating blood. Yep, rejected. But after a few months of supplements, and a diet change, back on track.

It COULD be something simple like that...or it could be serious.

So, GO GO GO!!

Cuz we want a healthy EMCAD around here:)

Em, lots of things can get you tired, lots! It's not as easy as it may seems although the best known causes are iron deficiency and hypothyroidism, the possibilities are so many, you really have to go to the doctor...even a virus that you didn't notice you had could be causing it.

Do you exercise?

While exercise gives you energy throughout the day, it also promotes sleep later in the evening or night. Otherwise, I agree with Mommy Dearest. Just increase your iron. Nibble on a nail or something.......LOL

EMCAD:

In regards to everyone's suggestion about going to the doctor, please keep us posted as to how it all went. I truly hope you're in great health and that it is only a temporary set back for you.:(

The only way to figure it out is to hit it head on. You've got to see a health care practitioner and get some kind of evaluation. To feel tired all the time is not normal and it's definitely got to be a drag to live with. Get going if you haven't already bro.

I suffer from low motivation, constant tiredness and achy feet (!). I had my blood checked out, there was no evidence of thyroid problems and although I was mildly anaemic (I have heavy periods) I got the depression diagnosis.

I still wonder if it is thyroid related.
I met a woman on holiday who told me she had been mis-diagnosed with depression for 20 years. She actually had thyroid problems, and with the correct treatment she felt so much better. Weeks before she had been in a mental hospital.
