If you had the chance of being accepted for Extreme Makeover. Would you? And if so why?

If I had the chance to go on that show, I would not go, I don't feel to be on LIVE TV, while they cut my brain open lol...

I've never seen this program, but I might have heard about it on French TV. Is it one that they offer you esthetic surgery too? It sounds like by what Midnite said.
Well, I wouldn't go. I am not at all against esthetic surgery, but not on TV! On the other hand I'd go for a simple makeover, just to see other possibilities. :)

As, I said I wouldn't want to,I'm scared of the anesthesia, going under.My Aunt wants to, for several reasons and so I hope she goes through the process and gets picked for the show.:cool:

I have to admit, I felt somewhat envious.....you know not only the surgery, but the treatment they receive.....the limo, the catering too...the makeup and new hair look....that I applied but wasn't picked I even sent a video, trying to look my worst...........there are thousands of people who are applying....so as far as your aunt goes.......she really has to need a makeover......that would really make a differance on national tv.....and yes they were looking for two people, I suppose that's what they are wanting to show on national tv. You have to be willing to be away from family for 6 to 8 weeks....give or take depending on what you are asking for a makeover. Now I'm not so gun hole on leaving my family for that long........don't know what I was thinking, I'm not bad looking.....so how selfish of me, he he he......but it was worth a try.:)

If I went I'd want my boobs reduced to a reg size (where I could go shopping for bras instead of special ordering) and for the scar on my belly to be corrected. When I was 11 I had surgery and it healed skin-to-muscle instead of skin-to-skin and when I was preg with my daughter the doctor said there was a good chance I'd herniate.

Anything else would be optional. I'm just very plain looking and so don't need any other work.

I take that back...I've got those kinds of earlobes that just get bigger as you get older...so I think I'd like an earlobe-odmy! :D

I think I'll go and apply, just to see what they say.

for the nice compliment about my hair.....did cut it to the middle of my back awhile back......but it grows like a weed and is going down to my waist again....getting to old......I know I said it doesn't matter, don't know why I have a change of heart now......it must be pms lol......Anyway's can you tell us one more secret, huh.......pretty please? Like how much it cost.....I want to do the crows feet around my eyes not now but eventually. And doesn't it only last 3-6 months? Can't that run into money?:confused:

Hey _ where do you sign up? I wil never be able to afford any cosmetic treatments besides free samples of Olay and anything they sell at the DollarStore! I would definitelyl go under the knife. Things aren't too bad now, but I had my daughter take some eye-opening pics of me - I'll call them my "befores" Don't know what will constitute "afters" because I have no resources!
I started using those creams that promise to firm your skin in about a month. Anyone have any experience with them?

Has anyone tried Botopical? Or Victoria Principal"s Skin care line? Would love some true life reports on all trial and errors.

Also had daughter take pics of my whole body. I am working out now and want to see if exercise actually can help an O/W's belly to slim down(skin and all) and that area under my arms. All this while using the firming creams. You know what I mean girls!

Thanks for this thread. I really do wish I could just go get the area beside my eyes just lifted a tad. I think it would make me look 20 years younger. Can't they invent some kind of invisible contraption you could wear under your hairdo that would gently pull up on that area? Inventors?

I signed up on the computer, I went to ABC's Extreme Makeover in my keyword, they tell you where to sign up and you can get the application through them by getting copies of it on your computer, but you must follow the directions......Cosmetic surgery is more affordable, you can pay by payments......but there was some other alternatives given too that can be found by searching the internet.......how's your workout plan going?
