White lillies?

Hi all!
Sun. night, C and I talked about love. He wants to wait for the right time (understandable, it's been 7 months) to tell me those 3 words. He asked me "Can't you tell by my actions? The wind blows the leaves in a tree, right? Well, if the leaves started moving without wind, you'd wonder where that came from right? "
This guy (he's athletic, soccer, football and windsurfing man), cancels football and basketball dates with the guys to hang out with me. He takes me windsurfing, cooks dinner for me, tells me it's "down to me" whenever we go out as to where I want to go (Rhode Island, the beach, wherever). Also- that following Tuesday, he bought me white lillies and cooked me a steak dinner. What does this mean? He only gets flowers for me occasionally (when I don't expect it, when he has screwed up, or during an anniversary) Sometimes they are pretty tulips in various colors, twice they were red roses, tuesday they were lillies that smelled like cinnamon. What do you think is up?

It sounds like you have a very sweet man who is very caring and loving and who is waiting until the exact right moment to tell say the words "I love you." Keep in mind that he is telling you that he loves you by doing all of those thoughtful things like bringing you flowers and cooking you dinner and cancelling plans to see you.

My advice: Enjoy him. Appreciate him. Do not harp on him to say words when it is so clear that he does love you. And just imagine how amazing it will be when he actually does say the words. My guess is that it will be nothing short of perfect, and it wil be a moment you never forget.

Sounds like he is wining and dining.. treating you like a lady... When He says I love you then he will mean it and at least it will be sincere and when He is ready.. You wouldn't want him to say it just cause you wanted to hear it right??? I think It means so much more when it comes from Him and from his heart... his heart willt ell him when it's time to say those three magic words....

I agree, he does all of this because he does love you. It's a different form of expressing it. He's just not ready to say it. But at least he expresses it some way.

Well, there are lots of variations on the meanings of flowers, but from what I can find, white lillies usually symbolize either purity, sweetness, or eloquence. Take your pick for whatever one fits you best.

Or he could just be totally ignorant of all that and just wanted to give you flowers.
