User Names

Since we have some new people here I thought I would ask this. I can hear The Chosen (we do this every week:p). What is the meaning of your user name?

Lintilla was an archaologist on the planet Brontitall, in the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, who had her arm surgically broken on purpose because it led to over-compensation and therefore a more-productive worker. She discovered a layer of shoes that proved that Brontitall had been a shoe-based economy (much like Oxford Street). She was also very pretty :-) and was cloned for her many attractive traits. Unfortunately due to an error, the cloning machine got out of sync, with one Lintilla being incomplete before the next was started and it became impossible to turn off the machine without committing murder.

My name is Meredith and a little girl couldn't say my name and out of the blue she called me MerAlove and I thought it was adorable.... 23 is my family number so I attatch it to all my names :-)

self explanatory. After years of saying "I'm so happy for you" to people, I finally was able to say that I was "Happy4Me."

Both my AV and name comes from wrestling. In fact, it's a coincedence that they both come from the former WCW. The name, The Chosen One, comes from the wrestler Jeff Jarrett, who is now the owner/wrestler of NWA Wrestling Organization. Everytime Jeff Jarrett was interviewed by one of the wrestling commentators, he addressed himself as "The Chosen One". Hence, I use the name in this and the other many, many boards that I visit, except Literotica.

And before you ask AGAIN, the avatar comes from a Japanese wrestler who used to wrestle for ECW and moved to WCW/nWo. He now wrestles for WWE.

Also, the subtitle ("King of Bling, Bling") is from a WWE wrestler. Chris Jericho has given himself some crazy titles and I took that one, which is his recent one.

According to Greek mythology, Rhadamanthus was the king of a small island nation in the Aegean sea who was deemed by the gods to be so just in life that when he died, they made him one of the judges of dead souls.

I thought it was a nice ideal to aspire to, even if I'm light-years away from ever making it. That and it just sounded cool. :D

Mine is simply a combinatin of my initials and the number of the apartment I had when I first moved here. I use it for everything because it's the only name I won't forget. It never even occured to me to be creative like all of you. I guess my mind works a little differently.

Mine's pretty plain with no real 'deeper meaning'

It's a mix of my initials and the year I was born :)

Mine is simply from a car I once owned that was a total peice of crap!........lol

Well, I'm Italian...so I took 'Bella' because I absolutley looove the word, for the meaning and because it just rolls off your tongue. It is also my future baby girl's name(first or middle, I'm not sure yet).

And 'Love' because its what this whole 'community' is all about.... we all have surrendered to love in such a way that nothing(age, race, religion, etc..) would cause us to turn and run.

....also, 'love' is described so beautifully my favorite Bible verse:

Mine doesn't have any meaning, really. I do love the Pink Panther, both the Peter Sellers movies and the cartoon. I guess the name makes sense because I'm a girl (pink) and I love big cats (panther). Oh, and I am class of '04 in college. Whoop!

Why my user name? Because, when I first created an account, I was. A year and a half later, I still am. . . .

More specifically, because I think it sums up my optimism about our relationship, albeit in a someone odd way. We're patient. We'll wait. We know that we're right for each other. It's just a matter of time.

Well you and I are alike. (I know....frightening thought). I have always had a craze for tigers. As I posted on another post, I have this picture in my living room of a beautiful tiger lying on white desert sand as the sun set behind the clouds in the background. The look on his face is sooooo powerful. I remember buying that picture sometime in 1990 or so. I was just flipping through a large box of pictures in a Wal-mart and didn't expect to find anything of interest. But it was like that picture just reached out and grabbed me when I saw it.

I wrote a 23 page paper on tigers in 8th grade which I received an A+ on but anyway... I got mezmorized since then...... I have pictures from tapistries to ceramics.... to s/n's My aol screen name is TigerIover23@aol.com.... Come to think of it, I was burn in the year of the Tiger according to Chinese mythology.

MerA's tigers don't have any music to move to. Maybe that's their problem. :cool:

It's too bad you guys aren't anywhere near Texas or you could come to my cat sanctuary and meet some of our tigers (and other kitties as well). If there are any reputable cat sanctuaries near you that is a much better place to see them than at zoos, which I don't generally like much at all.

We were talking about that at the sanctuary on Saturday. From what I heard the tiger bit him on the wrist and he hit it on the head with a microphone. Between being struck in the face and the loud noise the mic made, the tiger got scared and bit his neck.

It's sad that it happened and I'm glad that it seems he will survive, but you would think someone who has worked with tigers for decades would know better. The crew got the cat to let go of him by spraying it with a fire extinguisher. It's a pity that wasn't done right when the tiger started biting his arm.

I've already explained this somewhere, but being an Italian fellow, and having an exceptional curiosity for people, life, learning, etc. I chose UomoCurioso, which, in Italian just means Curious Guy. Pretty simple, but it does mean something, and is unique at the same time, so bada bing.

P.S. - No i'm not in the mafia nor am I a member of any underground organization, gang, group, or shady social/political party. With the exception of the NRA, and Albertsons.

OH! And you don't have to worry about covering up your mafia connections, LOL, I did that too in the beginning....but it was just too hard to keep concealed. Why, with the likes of Chosen1 and a few other smart a** people, I had no choice but to team up with Mera,(MeraLove), and make certain 'offers' that they couldn't resist. LOL

My actual name is Yasmin and in the Indian/Pakistani accent its actually pronounced Yasmeen which is where my nick originates from....take the Y-A-S away from the M-E-E-N-A and you get Meena and the 03 is just the year in which i registered to Ageless....:)

That's an interesting story, Thunder. I'm a complete opposite. When I was a drinker (only an occassional one now), I would get quieter as I drank more. And I'm embarrassed to say what part I am, in addition to African-American since they're not a favorite of our country anymore. I'll just hint to the fact that they have toast and fries named after them (LOL).

Though New Orleans have Indians, I'm not one myself. But I'm sure that if I was, my tribal name would be Talking Bull. (LOL)
