Mine would be "you'l be in my heart".. Just because We have been given ALOT of grief over our relationship.... This part of the lyrics best describes it:

Why can't they understand
The way we feel
They just don't trust
What they can't explain
I know we're different but
Deep inside us
We're not that different at all

And you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more

Don't listen to them
'Cause what do they know?
We need each other
To have, to hold
They'll see in time
I know

When destiny calls you
You must be strong
I may not be with you
But you've got to hold on
They'll see in time
I know
We'll show them together

'Cause you'll be in my heart
Believe me you'll be in my heart
I'll be there from this day on
Now and forever more

Our song is I Need You Bad by Randy Meisner.

I was caught in the shadows of another love
And chained to the memory of my deep dark past
Life has no meaning when you're feeling sad
Oh baby, I need you bad

You never believe me, but I swear it's true
I was alone, 'til I met you
You've given me something that I never had
Oh baby, I need you bad

The years were so lonely
Living without you
Now I've got you here in my life
Can't make it without you
Our love is so right
Don't leave me alone
Don't leave me alone
Don't leave me alone
Tonight

 Should this thread be posted in the Music forum?

I think the one song that fits my S/O would be "Playing Your Game" by the late, great Barry White.

Meh... I didnt think it would matter, as long as it involved your significant other?? If its really that big of a bother it can be moved....

My love made a compilation of songs for me....he called it [I] WISH YOU WERE HERE [to] THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE....it includes these songs and a bunch of others that are just as sweet...the title says it all, I guess...both of us miss the other when we have to be apart; both of us are grateful for what we have been blessed with....

But my choice of just one song....

Gotta be the incomparable Billie Holiday....

"The Very Thought of You"

The very thought of you
and I forget to do
those little ordinary things
that everyone ought to do....

I'm living in a kind of daydream
I'm happy as a queen...
and foolish though it may seem
to me, that's everything.

The mere idea of you
the longing here for you
you never know how slow
the moments go 'til i'm near to you.

I see your face in every flower,
your eyes in stars above
It's just the though of you-
the very thought of you, my love.

I see your face in every flower,
your eyes in stars above.
It's just the thougt of you-
the very thought of you, my love.

~sigh~

okay, not only have I become domesticated, I've turned into a complete sap.

Ain't love grand?
:p

Isn't it funny how a mere song that is playing on the radio have so much of an impact?!

Exactly.....Everytime I hear "UNFORGETTABLE" remake by Natalie and Nat King Cole, I think of an old girlfriend of mine.

Our song is 'Wonderful(Beautiful?) Tonight' by eric clapton. Everytime we hear it we get all mushy-romantic. When 'C' and I were both working together at the bank we met at; he dedicated this song to me at the annual banquet dinner. It was sooo sweet. Also, any song on the 'Lovers Rock' c.d. by Sade reminds me of my honey.

but the songs that describe things best right now are:

End of the Road &
It's So Har To Say Goodbye To Yesterday

Girlies, I lived with the New Kids!
just joking. Though there is always a certain amount of pride coming from someone who is a native of MA and who only lives 50 minutes aWay form the places where Matt Damon, Ben A, the New Kids, etc. grew up. Oy! Red Sox forever!!!!!!!
