When you log on next why not look at the cover page where it tells you how many messages you have? It looks something like this:
PoliteSuccubus - You have 0 new message(s) since your last visit.
(You have 0 unread messages and 42 total messages in all your folders.)
all your folders is the key phrase here.
You have THREE folders:
Your INBOX where incoming PM's come from.
Your SENT box where a copy of everything you send out goes in case you want to review it later.
Your TRACKING box, which tells you if the message was read and when.
CHECK those boxes if your total isn't adding up to your inbox. You PM box can only hold 100 messages.
To clean out your box look in the upper right hand corner where it says "FOLDERS" on a little drop down menu.
Now, the next time you PM look right above the SEND button. You will see a little list of checked boxes.
UNCHECK "Keep a copy" and "Message Tracking" if you don't want to worry about those pesky boxes getting full in the future and THEN hit send.
Personally I only keep copies of certain messages, and rarely track anything.
