I could be lucky. It's possible. I shy away from the word because it will always seem to me that being widowed at 31 doesn't quite fall under that category. And I don't win any happy childhood awards either.

But we all have good and bad things that happen to us in life, and you can only deal with the bad and celebrate the good.

I posted that story because I thought it was important. I *was* lucky that my husband didn't walk away because I was young, and sometimes I acted young. He didn't think that was a crime and I agree with him. The solution is ... time ...... We all grow up.

And if getting older isn't about patience, perspective and wisdom - then what is it about?

Of course I don't condone people acting like assholes.

But I thought the conversation was slanting a bit towards considering youth itself to be a character defect.

And I don't believe that - not one little bit.
