Waiting 12-14-2003, 05:00 AM I've got what's probably bronchitis at the moment, and am huddled up in my room feeling miserable. Since he couldn't do anything in person, my OM called me up and read me bedtime stories over the phone for an hour, which lifted my mood enormously.
What's something really sweet your SO has done for you recently?
TheChosen1 12-14-2003, 07:57 AM I've recently met a friend through my sister-in-law (only a YW to me by months). When I told her that I write poetry, she asked me to write one for her. While I'm not sure if any thing romantic will come out of our relationship, I wrote one for her one night and emailed it to her but I never told her when I was going to write it. She opened her email at her job and she wrote me back telling me that it brought tears to her eyes.
Then she later called me and told me that after she showed it to her coworkers, one of them wanted to copy it to give it to her boyfriend.

The first time I went to his house he had spent all day searching the city for a lavender rose (which means love at first sight) and finally found one for me. How sweet is that? ;)
Alright, I can't post too much more on this one or all the guys will get in trouble. :D
Rhadamanthus 12-14-2003, 10:39 PM The Saturday after Thanksgiving I had a bunch of friends over to watch some movies for the day, and we ordered Chinese food for dinner. A couple of days later, I went to get the leftovers out of the fridge, but the rice was nasty. I was talking with the YW online at the time and complained a little about it. Not much, but it happened that at the time, fried rice was what I really wanted, so I was disappointed.
A couple days later, I found a box of home cooked fried rice that she'd cooked for me on my doorstep when I got home from work. It was really, really sweet. And it was good rice, too.
datura81 12-15-2003, 03:51 AM A few days ago he spent half the afternoon just rubbing my back and hair and watching me sleep. He is the most wonderful man when I'm not teeing him off.
He puts up with my mood swings, my stupid behavior, my faults; he loves me anyway. He's my best friend.
dmbdmo 12-15-2003, 09:09 AM My husband will periodically leave me sweet thoughts on post-it notes where he knows I'll find them. Just the other day he left me one in my car, after he hand-washed it for me!

EllieMae 12-16-2003, 01:39 AM M draws my bath for me..
and the most romantic thing we used to do, not to bring up religion, but when we were far apart... after our 3 hour conversation every night.. we'd pray together.... it was always sooo comforting...
AND...M always takes me to a surprise romantic spot on our days off.. this weekend we went to feed the duckies..
Softiee19 12-16-2003, 02:39 PM When T and I just started dating, He would call me everynight before he whent to bed so I would be the last person he would talk to at night. He would then call me first thing in the morning to say good morning, and so I was the first person he would talk to in the morning... It was really sweet...
Everytime we got together, at the end of the night he would wrap his arms around me and tell me what a wonderful time he had and how special I was to him...
Hmmmmmmm Then we moved in together... Well lets another story :D
BellaLove 12-16-2003, 03:34 PM When 'C' and I weren't living together yet...and he had his kids visiting over the weekend, he would drive all the way across town, (after spending a CRAZY day with the kids) at about midnight just to see me for about an hour and then he would drive all the way back home to go to bed.
also, when we were first beginning to date (we both worked together at that time at a bank) he would leave little cards in my cubby so when I came into work in the morning, i would have little pleasant surprises!
