just wanted to know if there's anyone here living in texas that share similar situations. i know it's obvious since we're all here...i've lost a lot of friends because of my relationship with an older man and it's been hard meeting people and trying to build friendships with them after they find out my fiance' is much older than i am. women my age can be so judgemental and it's absolutely frustrating. i was reading some of the threads and it's such a comfort to know that i'm not the only one. i'm 28 and he's 54. i don't see age nor is the relationship that much different if i were to be in a relationship with a person my own age. please let me hear from anyone even if you are not living in texas. thanks

hrm where to start 1st off im 24yrs old and with a 54 yr old man. We've been together for 2 years and best friends for 7yrs (the 2 included) When it all came out that i was with an older man..i lost a couple friends..and thats when i realized they werent "friends" because i have a close group of other friends that support me and my decisions with my fiance'. I do know what you mean by others our age being rude etc...We went to a local bar one nite with a group of friends..this girl that was a friend of my friends there came over to our table and she introduced herself to all of us...and when i introduced my fiance...she just starred and then said "thats gross your a dirty ol pervert" ..i then in return said "why gee you got it backwards honey..im the pervert in this relationship!" her mouth hit the floor and the whole table of friends started crackin up...becuase they KNEW it was true LOL but needless to say...sometimes it'll happen ppl making comments and such all ya gota do is come back with something good. Or better yet..a different time at the bar..he kissed me and put his arm around my waist, and a few girls over in a lil huddle in the corner of the room pointed and stared at us...so i than straddled his lap facin him and laid a BIG wet kiss on him and then looked up and smiled at the girls in their lil "click" sometimes its more about being confident in yourself and not worryin about others and what they think and feel. if your happy then so be it. My om is wonderful and i cant wait to be MRS. om :)
just remember LIVE LIFE FULL OF LOVE and if others dont like it THEY are S.O.L! hehe
