Hey Everyone!

So this is the case....For about a year on ive been suffering with very painful nights from pains just below the chest area and i get these every month or two after ...they last the whole night and go away by the morning. I went to my doctor and he said its nothing and i should just take pain killers when they come. One day i had them real bad so went into A&E. They did x-rays, blood tests, ECG's etc etc .....to give me Gaviscon.
I still get these pains and my mum took me to a hoemapathic doctor and hes given me some medicine. He said he suspects its a stomach ulcer and if its not yet then can develop into one.
Anyone know anyhting about stomach ulcers?

I wonder if it could be acid reflux disease. My bf has it and it sounds kinda like that. He takes Tums when it's not to bad and Pepsid AC when it gets especially bad.

Meena,
I know what you mean about Dr.'s. Hang in there, and I hope you find an answer soon. Feel better!

Meena, I have had these same symptoms,
It actually felt like I was having a heart attack, and I tried everything pepcid ac, baking soda and water, I found out it was my diet, so controverisal or not, me myself I went on a low carb diet and have not have had these symptoms occuring.
But.......... When I did get them (before my diet) I would take pepcid and baking soda and water at the beginning of the symptoms so that it did not last for over 24 hours. I used to get it so bad that I could not sleep for days!!!!
It for me was acid reflux.
