Has anyone else seen Ghostworld? (The movie, not the comic -- it came out in the fall and has been on video for a while now.) What did you think of the portrayal of the OM/YW relationship in it? Curious. . .I thought it was very touching, and in some ways (the denial, the reactions of others) very true to life.

I must of missed that one....

Some I haven't missed are:

The Graduate, Harold and Maude, (both which have somewhat unhappy endings) and The Lady and the Tiger

My vote of course goes to The Lady and the Tiger, starring Ann Margret and C. Thomas Howell. If you can find it, you will see a realtionship that very much echos many on these boards.

Saw it on video last night and thought it was great. The Thora Birch character so totally reminds me of me at that age it's painful. It has some great lines - none of which I can remember now. Obviously. Definitely recommend it.

A Tiger's Tale (1987) is the one with Ann-Margret, C. Thomas Howell

Rose Butts is an attractive, lonely divorcee bored with her life as a small-town nurse. Into her life steps Bubber Drum, a high school senior with a penchant for exotic pets who falls in love with the older woman. To complicate matters, Bubber's former girlfriend is also Rose's daughter.

I loved the movie. But that's mostly because I was always crazy for the cutie lead actress.
