Has anyone ever used acidophilus supplements to cure a yeast infection?

Not exactly. Acidophilus is used to assist the settling of stomach acid. However, there's a product that advertises its ability to cure yeast infestions. I'm not sure if it contains acidophilus or not but it's posted on a few supplement websites that sells acidophilus.

Give it a check if you'd like>>>>www.iwr.com/candida

I am not a health professional. I am just a women, with some poor *scrunched up face* experiences with the "medical profession." There ARE times for medicine. However, if, like me, you want more homeopathic remedies to helping your body, as opposed to the gyno stuff (cream or pill) the doc can prescribe you/you can pick up over the counter at WalMart, etc.:

Go to your local health food store & go to the refrigerated section. There are some INCREDIBLE products that will LITERALLY put 5+ billion GOOD cultures/GOOD bacteria into your system.

This kicks MAJOR BUTT!!!!!

Also, ask questions there. I have found the employees of my favorite health food store are INCREDIBLY informative, and can direct you where you should look/try. I am extremely confident with homeopathic remedies.

Also, if you DO end up going to the doctor, they can do a blood test to ascertain whether you have candidas.

Don't be afraid to explore "alternatives."

ps Consistent yeast infections CAN harm your reproductive system if left untreated. So, make sure and act on it as SOON as you notice anything unusual

Ummmmm, to spare the guys, IM me for more details.:)

Lola - I sure have and I SWEAR by it. My health was in a bad spot and I had an ongoing yeast infection and even slight thrush that seemed to go away and come back. I went to the pharmacy and got a cheap bottle of acidolphilis and bingo - it worked.

I took it for about a year and then couldn't afford it anymore, but no symptoms have returned since I quit. I'd be interested to know if it works for you too? Keep me posted. Pm me if you try it out, okay?

I seen that word acidophilus and when I was eating yogurt...it hit me right away! Have you tried eating yogurt? It has active cultures with acidophilus. I am assuming that it is the same as taking those supplements.
