TatorBird 01-16-2004, 09:22 AM Hello everyone! I just discovered this site and have been reading some of the messages. You all are a very supportive group. As for me, I am new to this OW/YM world. My guy is 17 years younger than me. We've been together nearly 5 months...and...I'm crazy about the man. I only get online at work, so I don't know how often I will be able to participate, but I hope to be of some use to someone! Looking forward to "chatting" with you all. :)
bubbleee 01-16-2004, 11:38 AM Welcome TatorBird!
Tell us a little more about yourself and your ym if you are able. We love to hear happy stories!
Hope to get to know you better and that you'll participate. Just jump right in, ok?
marcy 01-16-2004, 11:47 AM Welcome. There is a 17 year age gap between myself and my partner too.
TatorBird 01-16-2004, 11:50 AM Hi Bubbleee, and thanks for the welcome! I'm 38, divorced, no kids, lots of pets, and a "newbie" in this OW/YM world. My guy is 22 and we've been together for nearly 5 months. When I met him, he lied and said he was 26...to which I replied "You're too young for me, sweetie".....LOL! That led to a date (HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?!?...LOL!)....and we've been together ever since. We've only spent about 8 days apart in nearly 5 months.
I adore this man....I would do anything for this man (definitelly OUT of character for me)....I am sooooo happy with this man....and I pray every day that God will let me keep him forever, but I know that's probably not going to happen.
I keep telling myself, "As long as you're happy TODAY, that's what counts".
:)
TatorBird 01-16-2004, 11:56 AM Do any of you "regulars" ever meet in the AgeGap chat room?
Cindy 01-16-2004, 03:50 PM Hi Tatorbird! Welcome to Ageless. I've been coming around for about three years now to this site.
My boyfriend is 16 years younger than me and we have been together three years. I've enjoyed coming here for the support I needed initialy and now to share what I have learned in growing in a relationship with a younger man. Although I confess I still learn a great deal as well.
Good luck and I hope to hear more from you.
Cindy
Polly 01-16-2004, 07:04 PM Wow, ANOTHER newbie from Ohio! :D This makes what, three this month? Ohio rocks, y'all, we have the Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame!
Welcome, Tatorbird! Yes, I'm in the chat room around 8 or 9 some evenings, although I'm probably tipsy on wine by then and just looking to get a chuckle out of someone. If you see me in there, I'm pretty much goofing off! :D
BTW, I'm 41, my fiance Robin (a guy) is 25. We've been together 4 and 1/2 years, had our bumps along the way, but we're happy and still very much in love. :)
whiterose 01-16-2004, 07:11 PM Welcome TatorBird!
My guy is also 17 years younger than me. I am in a bit of an unusual situation in that he and I have a "virtual" (online) relationship going on right now. I guess, actually, our type of relationship is not so rare anymore. I am 45 and he is 28. We met about a year ago and we are hoping to meet in person in the spring.
Evenings are a good time to join in the fun in the chat room.
whisper 01-16-2004, 09:33 PM Welcome to the site. I look forward to "seeing" you around here and am glad you found this site.
I'm 26 (or 27....depends on the time of the year) years older than my husband. We've been together for three years and married for a little over two years. We're just getting warmed up.
TatorBird 01-19-2004, 11:35 AM Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes!!! I will try to catch some of you in the chat rooms in the evenings, although I don't get online much at home. My relationship with my guy is only 5 months new, so we are still giving each other 100% attention in the evenings. :D
You have all given me hope that this relationship has the possibility to last longer than I think it will. I've been trying to stay "rational" and tell myself that I can't "keep" him for long, but based on all of your situations, perhaps it might turn out to be a long-term thing afterall? I hope so!!!
Bye, for now!
Tats
(short for Tatorbird, which is actually the nickname of my first parrot, now deceased....nothing to do with potatoes!...LOL!)

And as he would say age is only a number, love is real, hope to read more from u in the future take care. He and I are coming up on our first year anniversary Gil
Sunflower 01-21-2004, 05:34 PM Lets add another 27! (well, at least at some time of the year ;-))
Welcome TatorBird! :-) I once was a crazy fan of a woman who now lives in Ohio.. LOL
Anyway, I'm 27, german, and in love with a woman twice my age. We live together at my place most of the time and we're together since May last year. Of course one can never say that it's "forever", but we're madly in love like on the first day we met and we surely don't want this to end within the next couple of years :-) There is always a chance for love :-)
thanks obsessing, just another ageless online long distance age gap relationship LOL.
Welcome Tatorbird, you will have lots of fun here, many great people and if you ever need a friend, you can find them here.
Welcome aboard Tator!!! :D
