Hi!Strgzr11 01-19-2004, 12:21 PM I've just registered, and am glad to meet all of you, metaphorically speaking! I'm 47 and live in the Bay Area. Any chicks out there who would like to open up a conversation? BellaLove 01-19-2004, 12:46 PM OH, Strgzr11...you might want to check out the singles forum or the dating link on our home page for better results :-) Welcome!!!! TheChosen1 01-19-2004, 05:15 PM PITIFUL!!! We have, yet, another misguided newbie making a wrong turn on this Forum Highway. Why can't we all have the On Star system when surfing this board? LOL BellaLove 01-19-2004, 05:19 PM LOL http://secondwivescafe.com/smilies/bump.gif MerAlove23 01-19-2004, 06:35 PM Originally posted by Strgzr11 I've just registered, and am glad to meet all of you, metaphorically speaking! PinkPanther_04 01-19-2004, 06:47 PM Guys, there isn't a Singles or Personals section anymore. This is the only board for this now. Strgzr, you might look into the dating site, although there aren't many people registered yet. If you want to get to know people then start posting on threads and become a member of the community. Most people on this side are already in a relationship, so I'm not sure if you'll have much luck with finding a single "chick" around here. Incidentally, I don't really have a problem with that term, but it did stick out in your post, and a lot of women are turned off by it. You might get a better reception if you refrain from using terms like that (we're also in a bit of a feminist frenzy on another thread right now, so your timing is particularly bad. :D ). Just a bit of advice, okay? Oh yeah, and... <marquee>Welcome to Ageless, Strgzr! </marquee> MerAlove23 01-19-2004, 06:49 PM LOL pink we are Women Protesting right now LOLOLOL I always hated that term you should ask my husband I go NUTS when people say that....My stepson says it and I get so angry.... i hate the term "chick"flick to... It's just the word :( PinkPanther_04 01-19-2004, 06:57 PM Sorry for taking over your thread, Strgzr (not that being sorry will keep us from hijacking it or anything, LOL). Mer, would it matter if it was a woman using the term? Sometimes I use it, as in "she's a really cool chick" or something like that. I also say "chick flick," but only in a derogatory sense. :D MerAlove23 01-19-2004, 07:00 PM I don't use it... I mean I don't know.. Makes me think of us as inferior.... I don't know... yeah it does if it's male or female...s o..... No biggie though.... Just something about it TheChosen1 01-19-2004, 08:44 PM I don't blame you for hating that word, MerAlove. I don't think any broad should be called such a degrading word as "chick". :D LOL And Pinks-kins.......LOL........I'm sure the welcome is very appreciated but I have a strange feeling that he won't be returning. This boards been struck by another hit and run poster. |
