My nails of my index finger and middle finger are constantly breaking. I dont keep my nails very long and it is very annoying to have uneven nails as a woman.
Has anyone tried a nail hardener that works or can recommend a dietary change that could prevent this?

made by Onyx Labotories
Contains Liposomes, amino proteins, & calcium Pantothenate.
You can rub it in right over your finger nail polish if you want, it also helps your cuticles, I love it, it is sold at most drug stores and isn't very expensive.
Good Luck!

Another thing, I just read about, but have not tried, is soaking your fingers in lemon juice.
Any lemon juice will do, concentrated or fresh,
Heres to great nails :)

Lola,
There's an amino acid that helps with the natural growth and strengthening of hair and nails called L-Cysteine. Give that a shot.

My ex-mother-in-law used to put white iodine on her fingernails and cuticles every day with a q-tip. She had the strongest, toughest fingernails I have ever seen. They never broke and she actually had to cut them to keep them from getting too long.
