Although I'm not on it now because of my pregnancy........

My ideal day was a Nice salad with grilled Chicken.... or I made Tuna Salad with pickles and Yes eat it with a spoon ;-) They have Atkins bread now My sister says its FABULOUS... she is so excited about it....... and for dinner I would have steamed broccoli and a delmonico steak Mmmmmm From the hilltop ( great steak butcher) with steamed broccoli....

I lost a total of 30 lbs in a month.... and so did my husband.... then I got prego LOL just to go back UP in weight but as soon as I finish my breastfeeding... Back I go....... I will get on a walking regiment and eat my atkins like I never have before!!!!

good Luck to everyone who is trying to beat this terrible battle !!!! But it's so doable just all hard work pays off!! think about the end results!!!!

Interesting enough MerAlove - Atkins is supposed to be a good thing for women who have trouble getting pregnant. I don't know the mechanics of it, but I do know 2 other people who got pregnant after they were on it for awhile.

I am in induction. My girlfriend and I at work were laughing about munching on a stick of real butter and a block of cheddar, and squirting real whip cream into our mouths for dessert!

hey there....

I didn't hear that but it's interesting... I got pregnant after trying a month and a half LOLso maybe there is truth to that.....

We laughed about the same thing.... I used to eat sugar free jello for dessert... I loved it with cool whip... OH YEAH.....

When bf and I went shopping last night and my choice of foods were bacon, cheese, butter and a few cans of whipped cream my bf said "I thought you were dieting!"

The diet jello and whip cream is def a nice sweet treat. I'll be glad when I'm out of induction though. Will be glad to get some variety but this "sacrificing" isn't all that tough.

I know sometimes it's wierd the foods you buy and eat LOL.....

Although.. You do want to be careful with bacon.... It's still not that great for you don't overdo that..... bacon has an asterix next to it in the book.....You can eat some just not alot!! :-)

Snow Thanks!!! But my cravings right now will NOT allow me to be carb free LOL... baby loves Pasta....... I am Italian so that was the hardest thing for me to give up but now I can't!!!!

Isn't it awsome not having to worry about how much fat or calories is in what your eating?!! I love it!!! I was on the Atkins a couple years ago because I had gained about 25 pounds while I was on birth control....in about a montha and a half I was back to normal! It was soooo easy!!! Of course I missed my cupcakes and junk like that...but you get used to it. I loved my sugar free jello with whipped cream :-)

I really got addicted to Caesar Salads and seafood. YUMMY!!! My fav. was ceviche *Bella drooling* LOL

Now, these days I still follow the diet to a certain extent... but, 'C' is definitally using it - he has borderline diabetes and his doctor recomended the Atkins diet!!! And since I"m such a pro at it; I'm like his personal trainer ;-) ONe thing for sure is to make sure your taking multi vitamins and minerals!! That way your body can be getting all the nutrients that it may not be getting through some high carb. foods :-)

Hummus is a great food for people doing low-carb as well as for people counting fat and calories. Its about 50 calories a serving, has 2g of fat and no sat. fat, 2 gs of carbs with no sugar, a good amount of protein (9g I think) and tons of fiber for those who think regularity is sexy. I cant get enough of the stuff - especially the garlic lovers. I put it on salads, mix it up with eggs, use it instead of mayonaise with tuna and chicken. You can jazz it up too with peppers and onions and spices. Its also good muchie food - with some celery or cukes, you can stuff you face for under a 100 calories.

Oh yeah, I have to recomend "Ketogenics" muffin mixes for those who dont mind baking (I do because prepared low carb food can be expensive). Only 1 to 3 g of carbs per muffin - plus alot of protein and more of that sexy fiber. I recomend using a little more oil and water than they say because the amounts they recomend makes the muffins dry.
The chocolate chip ones are dynamite and only 1g carb each.

Abby, be careful of that whip cream in the can, read the label, ditch it if it has sugars or more than 1 gram of carbs, read labels closely, anything in the ingredients that ends with an "ose" example fructose, is full of sugar.
You can make your own fresh whip cream very easily
Mix with a blender until stiff, splenda sweetner, heavy cream and a dash of vanilla, just like Grandma used to make it

My oldest brother was once on the Atkins Diet and had lost quite a bit of weight. But unfortunately, he gained all of it back plus more due to a terrible illness called TDEH (Truck Drivers' Eating Habits). Despite that and knowing that I'm a "gymrat", he swears that it would work for me since I like to work out and all.

But here's where I'm confused. He brags about how, when following the Atkins WOE, you're able to eat loads of fried foods (steaks, bacon, pork sausage, etc.). How the hell are you able to eat foods that are fried in lard and animal fat and it's supposed to help you lose weight?

MerAlove23
01-25-2004, 07:30 AM
Chosen thats where the confusion comes in... There is a Right way to do it and a wrong way to do it....If you look in the book.... Bacon and Sausage have astericks on it... Bacon is NOT good for you on this diet.. it's not good for you at all..... Sausage you can't over do it .. the grease... Steak??? I broil my steak NEVER GREASY... steak is great protein

As for Fried food you can't eat that at ALL.... The batter has flour in it which contains wayyyyyy to many carbs......

Again this is the problem...

Chosen Snow P.. made this thread for those of us who enjoy this plan and follow this and have created a way of life for us to maintain a good healthy weight... we are trying to keep the negativity down so this one doesn't spin out of control. I understand that this plan isn't for everyone but it is for some... and our lives have been nicely and rewardingly changed our lives and gave us the self confidence again and gave us hope... So I am asking for people not to bring us down ....

Thanks! :)

Mer, I dont think Chosen was critizing the diet but merely asking a question since you shut down the other thread on the Atkins diet which was a valid thread for people to voice there opinions and ask questions.

I dont think curiosity necessarily implies negativity.

I wish you all here on the Atkins diet the best!

I think Chosen is confusing fried foods that have batter or breading on them with just frying something in butter, which is legal. Maybe it is called braising or something, but meat fried in butter is legal, right?

I have never given up my coffee - not last time, not this one. Anyone else. Still had good results.

I forgot about the bathroom issue. I have been quite active in that area and I guess now I know why!

I like the sound of those muffins John. Where did you get the mixture or is it all homemade?

John-311
01-25-2004, 01:20 PM
I found the muffins in the supermarket with the other low carb stuff. The brand is Ketogenics and Im not sure but you could probably find them on the web somewhere if you cant find them in the store. The muffins are great though - very much worth looking for.

I never gave up coffee either and didnt have a problem. It seems like cutting out caffeine is something all diets tell you to do.

Im nutty about drinking water too and have to watch it if I have to take a long trip anywhere. In the begining stages of Atkins its real important to drink alot of it because all the meat and and cheese and very little roughage or fruit will, um, keep your digestion from moving along smoothly.

Thanks John - think I'll put on my boots and head for the grocery store and read labels for an hour or so. I am thinking of trying to make up some kind of concoction like snow said, only I am thinking of adding some hersheys chocolate powder or something.

I am surprised there aren't more ice creams out there that are low carb, low fat, but I don't see much Think I try to make some or heck, just freeze the sweetened cream or something to that effect.

Necessity is the mother of invention and all that!

No, no, no. I'm not confused about the frying ingredients, obsessing. I've already stated in the "Atkins Diet" thread that if you want to lose weight you have to minimize or eliminate the use of sugar, flour, and white rice & bread, since those items are not easily processed in the body.

My confusion was with the fact that anything fried is allowed on this diet. But MerAlove carified it for me and just as I thought, my brother simply explained it wrong. Trust me, I've been in the field of fitness, powerlifting and bodybuilding since 1985 and NEVER have I ever heard of eating fried eggs, fried ham, and fried sausage & bacon and still losing weight at an alarming rate, as he claimed. That's like saying, "I lost 30 pounds in 3 weeks and I always enjoyed Orea cookies with my SlimFast shakes.":D

Chosen - the last time I was on Atkins, and I lost about I don't know 70 lbs about 3 years ago and have only gained 15 back, I ate bacon and saugage all the time. I really did. It is all a chemical process of sorts that flys in the face of reason, like some of the best things in life!

BTW I like all your health tips and the logical approach you have to it. I really think if we all weren't such lazy gluttons we wouldn't have to be on any diets or having this thread!

Now, did I hear someone mention icecream????

I was rereading the induction phase so I can be sure not to cheat. Lost 8 lbs last week!

"Acceptable Fats and Oils
Many fats, especially certain oils, are essential to good nutrition. Olive oil is particularly valuable. All other vegetable oils are allowed, the best being canola, walnut, soybean, grapeseed, sesame, sunflower and safflower oils, especially if they are labeled "cold-pressed" or "expeller-pressed." Do not cook polyunsaturated oils, such as corn, soybean and sunflower oil, at high temperatures or allow to brown or smoke.

Butter is allowed. Margarine should be avoided, not because of its carbohydrate content, but because it is usually made of trans fats (hydrogenated oils), which are a serious health hazard. (Some nonhydrogenated margarines are available in health-food stores.)

You don't have to remove the skin and fat from meat or fowl. Salmon and other cold-water fish are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids.

Remember that trying to do a low-fat version of the Atkins Nutritional ApproachTM will interfere with fat burning and derail your weight loss."

well, im learning a LOT here as I just started induction and really now just want to say....I WANT TO EAT A SHIT LOAD OF BREAD, LOL.....geez, this is hard...no sugar, no bread....20 carbs or lower...heck i used to eat that many in a SNACK...no a pre-snack=) hehe. Okay, it's really not THAT bad...but what the heck can u eat in the induction phase that will help?....just meats and veggies, cheese, eggs...that it?=) What I'd give for a honkin cinnamon roll=) okay...in the interest of my hips and my health im gonna stick this out....My HAT is definitely off to anyone who has lost weight or is following the plan....GOOD WORK ALL!!

OH, btw...i refuse to give up coffee too...maybe those lattes...but not coffee...already decided that 3 days into induction=)

I'm on Atkins and have lost 47lbs since May (excluding the holidays ;) )..I LOVE this diet, it's very easy once you get steady on the Induction phase.

Mayonnase (REAL not salad dressing type)..is a life saver..use it whenever you eat lunch meat, hamburgers and chicken..because the combo of the good protein and fat will make you lose in a hurry. Please remember to drink the water!!!!! and btw, DO NOT give up coffee..just change to decaf until you get to the weight that you desire.

My favorite meals have becomes-- Breakfast: fried eggs (w/ margarine..I don't do butter) over 2 sausage patties; lox and cream cheese and omelets.-- Lunch: is my salads w/ tuna and cheese; salads w/ lunch meats and salads w/ hard-boiled eggs and bacon..all w/ ranch dressing ( ~ 2 tbsp). --Dinner: Brats, Italian Sausages, my famous cheese burgers, baked chicken/turkey or shrimp and salmon. Veggies: sauteed mushrooms and onions, broccoli, green beans. --Snacks: walnuts/almonds or pepperoni or Slim Jims (LOL :) )

I do have temptations and actually find that if you eat a little bit of something that you like...like mine are CheezIts (yummy)..I'll eat 5-6 of them; it not only satisfies me of the craving (while making ds's lunch), but it also "kick starts" your metabolism a bit and I lose some weight at that time.

I also just got the new One A Day Weight Smart vitamins..supposed to help increase metabolism ...has anyone else tried these?

Oh, I forgot in my last post to add..

If you want something crisp and crunchy to eat for snacking..I just found Bran Crispbread.....it's natural fiber..3 grams of carbs and 3 grams of fiber..so really 0 digestible carbs..

I LOVE them with peanut butter on them..tastes just like a cookie or you can just toast them and put butter on them or I also like salmon cream cheese on them..

But remember, a word of caution, ;) it is fiber, so this too shall pass quickly ;) LOL

well today went well, but I screwed up and bought nuts at the store after reading labels after labels...ate some, THEN found out that they were not on the 'induction' food list...should have memorized that thing...crap:( felt a little guilty at first, but I suppose it was better than eating those hershey's chocolate kiss cookies I made when the kids got out of school early because of snow=)....anyhow, Im learning....still having carbo cravings, but only day four here. Im not hungry, but I think it is some mental 'comfort' thing as I associate comfort with breads and ....sugar...well u know. I did want a sweeter taste and ended up mixing some splenda with mayo....not bad and almost as good as miracle whip on salmon. I probably should have microwaved it a few seconds to really mix in...but when in need....it worked just fine. I also bought some decaf coffee...grrrr...but really, outside of instant, decaf doesnt taste all that different to me....wondering if ill have headaches or sumpin due to caffeine withdrawal, hehe...ill probably SLEEP better tho=) Hope all of you are doing well....ooooo made that bacon, egg, and cheese 'muffins'....they are great....froze some so we'll see how they microwave tmw.... Thanks for the thread SNOW...sometimes it's a 'comfort' just to know others have been where u are. PS....I cut out a picture of the DRESS ima gonna buy for MYSELF....as motivation.....think Ill blow it up and hang all over the house, LOL....my kids already think im crazy...eating green peppers and doing leg lifts on my bed...:D

Hi guys,
I cant believe I just found this post, its good to see that there are so many of us attempting Low Carb!
Its something I have been doing for almost a year and a half now. I probably eat lowcarb 70% of the time. I have lost quite a bit of weight but it hasnt fallen off me.
I have tried to be totally perfectly on the diet and also cheating one or two days a week, more along the lines of the Carb Addicts Diet. Im not sure it makes much difference for me....but maybe I dont give it a chance enough.
I feel better restricting carbs and had been exercising for months, but then old man winter came to NY and I used it as an excuse to stop!!!
Anyway, I think its time for me to make a new committment and get back on Induction for a little while.
I'm gonna go back and read thru the thread more.
Good Luck everyone!!!

Peanut butter is legal!! but just use 2tbsp because it does have carbs in it..if you can find the peanut butter w/out sugar you are better off.

Of course it is not "legal" on the Induction..

Don't kick yourself if you messed up on the Induction phase for one day..just extend it another day..

I for one stayed on the IP for 2 months because I had so much to lose..then I introduced the wonderful walnuts :) remember, all nuts are not equal..peanuts are higher in carbs that walnuts or almonds.

here's the 'muffin' recipe that I tried...I used peppers and mushrooms too=)

Mix 9 beaten eggs, 1lb breakfast sausage cooked with 1/3 cup onions, drained & cooled a little (add peppers or mushrooms if you'd like)and pepper. Spray or grease lightly a muffin pan. Pour a tiny bit of egg
mixture in muffin cups. Top with a 1/4 th of a slice of any cheese. I used
white american. Add more egg mixture till 1/2 inch from top. Top with another 1/4 th of a slice of cheese and bake @ 350 for 15-20 min till browning on top.
Like little omelets. Store in plastic bags in frig. this recipe made 18
muffins. Eat 2 and your satisfied. Could use bacon bits too.

and...im not sure if Im losing anything or not...promised NOT to get on those scales except for once a week.....but I usually had heartburn late in the afternoon from a coffee/carb combination....havent had ANY in the 5 days I've been on induction....ive experimented before and thought I knew what was causing it...wha-la...yup it was carbs. Also...cravings not as bad today....cant get over that mental count calories thing....trying to not think about as I down a hamburger patty=).

BUT after I ate... I would go for a 3 to 4 mile walk with my mom or sister to burn it off.... because Good think about carbs is that you can burn it off very fast..... but you have to excersise right away and vigerously.... so... Just excersise more if you splurge!!!!

Gonna test it out this week. Fruit all day and a Country Fair Pizza

No formal working out for me. If I can walk instead of drive I do it, I just do normal every day excercise, I may shovel snow, dance, hike up and down my 52 steps to the lake. Clean~alot, I clean houses for a living right now.
I'l do a few leg lifts here and there, or get on my life gear glider while watching tv, or through in a T-Tapp tape once in a blue moon. I have a set of 5 pund dumbells I pick up a few times a day if I have time, and if I want to. Go ice fishing or ice skating. But no formal working out for me.
I have alot of energy on this woe, so work, kids and extra ciricular activities work for me. :)

And somebody mentioned peanut butter, I love the new low carb Skippy, the whole family likes it.

I had one of my "Lucy" moments last week on the lake, we had a huge celebration of the lakes with hot air balloons, ice fishing, car racing on our lake here, so Will and the ys and I go into the heated tent for burgers (mine without the bun of course;) ) and as I was carrying my food over to the table, I didn't watch where I was walking and I hit the wet melting part of the lake where the heaters were blowing, slipped, fell on my bum and cluncked my head on the ice, as I was sitting there all 50 pairs of eyes were on me, so I casually mention "Don't walk over here, its icy" and tone burley man drinking Budweiser, said "and thats not the worse part, now your sitting in a puddle of water" Sure enough, I was soaked! Too top it off it was -3 that day and my pants froze on the way to the truck! Not to mention I lost my burger :(

SNOW, u GO GIRL!!!! That's wonderful that you are doing so good....I've been trying for three weeks...lost 8...went off on the weekends so I screwed myself over as I would have lost more to date...finding out that having things that are easy and ALLOWED to grab when I want to grab kids JUNK...cookies, crackers...u know..that fast stuff..IS IMPERATIVE. Have done much better this week....sugar is my downfall and always what I crave. Found out that just a LITTLE chocolate CAN be done...that is enough to satisfy me and still proving effective so far IF I dont allow an all out chocolate binge=). Have been reading some new info on lemons, green tea, cinnamon, calcium...trying to add in daily in some form or another...feeling tons of energy which I know I wouldnt have when Im doing a lot of carbs/sugar...has anyone noticed that funny taste in your mouth when u know your body is in ketosis? I can TELL just by the TASTE....constantly wondering IF I have bad breath that no one is tellin me about;) Using those sugar free mints...just in CASE. ALSO...I notice a difference when I dont drink enough water and take that multivitamin....feel more sluggish than when I do...but that is self-explanatory...would rather drink COFFEE..than water=) ....my staple when Im starving for ANYTHING is lettuce, real bacon bits, mayo, and grated parm. cheese....you can add tomatoes and it tastes similar to a BLT...easy to fix and wards off real hunger. I tried that Michelob Ultra...but I dont like it as much as Miller Lite and there is only a .5 difference in carbs..so Im back to being a Miller Girl!! Have to PLAN for those nites out...but definitely worth it for personal SANITY=) hehe. OK one more thing...and Ill stop typing here....I havent been exercising like I would like...in theory...if your body is already carb depleted...then exercise SHOULD be doubly beneficial because you are already in the FAT burning mode and dont have to use carb stores first....maybe SOON:D lol....Ill get the motivation to workout for real instead of just messin around with weights and aerobic stuff. Geez...used to be an aerobic teacher and lately finding it hard to fit in exercise....I can find an excuse readily NOT to do...laundry, kids errands, ANYTHING....that's on my personal TO DO LIST....starting MON.=)

Sing, congrats on your 8 pounds.
I am in a loose size 14 now, and hoping to be an 8 by the time of the midwestern meeting. The fat on me is just falling off. I have been real good on not cheating, no candy, doughnuts, breads (other than low carb and I have Sarah lees new low carb bread, but I only eat about 1 slice a day) I do like chocolate so I buy about one Atkins bar a week and break off a little peice once in awhile, I am now on week 8 of strict Atkins and I feel so great, I have never eaten so many veggies and Berrys before in my life. Thats what I love about this WOE, the getting back to healthy eating part.
Will works for a place where he delivers coors and once inawhile he brings home Coors light, it is 5 carbs per can and it tastes yummy. But remember, if you drink alcohol, your body will burn off the alcohol before the fat, so sometimes it will stall you.

My father is 55 and his doctor just recommended he do Atkins!! FINALLY!! My dad is so excited about having steak again....They had put him on a low fat diet for the past 3 years and he is just kept getting fatter and fatter and they have had to keep upping his medications!! So my dad is all excited now, he is buying lettuce, meats, peppers, tomatos, cheeses, veggies, berrys. His girlfriend is going on the diet with him, so it should be interesting to hear from him, he is so cute, he hates giving up his corn and potatos, but he hates being overweight so much more.
Happy low carbing
~Tammy

Snow-I made this bread and topped with real whipped 'banana' cream.....I just whipped real cream, added Splenda, and 1/2 tsp. banana extract....it was really good!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

1/3 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup full-fat cream cheese
4 eggs, room temperature
3/4 cup pourable (granulated) Splenda
2 teaspoons Brown Sugar Twin
1 3/4 cups almond flour
1/4 cup Vital Wheat Gluten flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 2.5-oz jar Gerber Banana Baby Food
1/4 cup sour cream
20 drops liquid sweetener
1 teaspoon banana flavor extract

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Cream butter, cream cheese, pourable Splenda and Brown Sugar Twin well. Add eggs - one at a time - beating well after each. Set aside.

In separate large bowl, blend almond flour, Vital Wheat Gluten flour, baking powder, and salt.

In small bowl mix baby food, sour cream, liquid sweetener and banana extract. Add to butter/cream cheese mixture and beat well.

Mix wet and dry ingredients with large spoon or mixer until fully incorporated. Pour into greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan and bake for approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Optional: Walnuts or pecans can be added to this recipe. About 1/2 cup broken nut pieces added just before adding to loaf pan to bake works nicely.

45 grams of carbs in entire recipe.
Makes 12 slices: 3.75 carbs per slice.

ok..not the same as...but i was dying for potato skins my daughter had last night...ended up microwaving some pork rinds, co-jack cheese, real bacon pieces...with sour cream on the side...NOT bad at all...=) I ate SO much this weekend...and still lost a pound. Did go buy some of those ketosis strips...trying to estimate just how many carbs my body can handle....right now it is somewhere between 50-60....wonder if that changes as more weight is lost??? im playing around really and not losing as quickly...but for a LIFETIME...this way of eating really does make sense to me and my body functions SO MUCH better with more energy than Ive had in a while. Just wondering how others are doing.....I really think it took me a MONTH to understand what my body was doing....understand moods/emotional sources for wanting/eating sugar mainly, but carbs in general. Ive got a much better 'handle' on those now....im not drinking as much water as I shud and I cant seem to remember those vitamins either...grrrr...but I did start working out again....oooooo sore buns!

I am still doing the woe, I have upped my veggies.
My Father and his girlfriend are on Atkins, they are into week 2 and they are doing so great. He is now reading labels and understanding nutrition better, they are cooking more at home now and are finally eating vegetables!!
They both have lost about 10 pounds and lots of inches.
He will be going into his Dr.s soon and I can't wait to hear about his blood tests, maybe he can get off some of his chloresterol (sp) meds.
William cut out candy bars and soft drinks for lent
 and just by doing that he lost 8 pounds already!!
I don't use the ketosis sticks, I did in the beginning, but to save money, they work just the same if you cut them in half or even thirds.

As for you carbs now at 50-60, thats great if your still losing, as long as your losing you can up your carbs every month by about 5-10, its what works for you that counts.
my carbs are about 40, mostly fruits and veggies, but I am so dying for the chinise buffet, so I may do a CAD day
Carbohydrate Addicts Diet (http://www.carbohydrateaddicts.com/)
Thanks for the Banana bread recipe Sing, I am off to buy some wheat gluten and banana extract.

This is only my 2nd day on Atkins, but I was just wondering if anyone else started out feeling a bit nauseas? If so, how did you relieve it.

Lisa- I was nauseated....kind of weird for about four days....think it is a withdrawal of sugar for me...still when I cheat and go BACK to adkins Im a little 'dizzy' for a day or so....carb withdrawal is NO laughin matter:D....but when you're FREE from all that sugar, carbs etc...you feel SO MUCH BETTER and THINK BETTER! Give it a week and see if it goes away....GOODLUCK!

Thank you both for your reply's. I think you were right, my nausea has gone away for the most part except for times when I'm really hungry. I experienced some dizziness as well, which has also gone away. Now I'm feeling pretty good. I haven't had any peticular craving for carbs or sugar either, so, that's a good thing.

Continued Luck to everyone on Atkins!!!!

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

Greg and I did Atkins a year ago this April and we each lost significant weight. We felt so good over the summer and then started eating carbs again.

I am now back up to my original weight and feeling so stodgy and stuffy and large. I have absolutely no energy at all and have been immobile and depressed.

We have been trying to get back on Atkins but I never, ever make it more than a day.

Please keep posting here all of you attempting this WOE and I will too. I need a support group.

I'm starting this morning.

Snow, I'd like to hear how your children adjusted to the dietary changes in your household. My kids are hooked big time on junk food. Getting them to eat basic dinner anymore is a major challenge.

I'm gonna go out today and buy the best steak out there.
I'm on, friends. Come on. Help me and I'll help you.

Cindy

Post my favorite low carb breakfast?

MEXICAN EGGS
Well if I didn't this is an easy one.

I don't measure I do to taste:
Some ground beef cooked and crumbled
spiced with chili powder, pepper, salt
add 1 or 2 eggs and scrammble
top with hot salsa
and sour cream
A YUMMY breakfast.

Cindy the kids love low carb, they love the meat part the best, but my YS loves broccoli
cooked in water than drained, add real butter and a bit of splenda, he LOVES IT!!!!!!
