Are you a type of person who like to keep the remote control in your hand? and don't allow your partner or others to hold it?
And can you imagine watching a TV in today world without having a remote control, i.e when you want to change the channel you have to go to the receiver and change it?
And how do you feel when a person holding the remote control keeps on jumping from channel to channel?

Fortunately, I'm the only one here in my place so I'm the ayatollah of the remote controllas. However, I have a different remote for my VCR, stereo receiver, and TV.
As for as using a TV without a remote, Solitude? I can top that. My cute lil "A" had a Jessica Simpson moment a few months ago. We were talking on the phone and she explained to me that she was extremely upset because, without warning, her TV just broke on her. I asked her what had happened and she told me that it just stopped working for her. I asked, "What does it do when you try to turn it on without the remote control?" Then she got worst and told me to "have sex with myself" because it's not the remote, it's the TV. She told me that I was no help so she'll ask her Dad to look at the TV for her. So I dropped the subject and eventually we ended the conversation. A week and a half later, we're on the phone and in the middle of our conversation, I asked her if her Dad had looked at the TV for her. She laughed and said, "Yeah, and he got it working. So what have you been up to?" I got the hint but I pried anyway. "So A...., what was wrong with the TV?" She laughingly replied, "Nevermind, damn it. I don't want to talk about it." Needless to say, her remote needed batteries.
I hate it when I'm watching TV with a "channel surfer". But oddly enough, I used to be one myself, especially on Mondays. Several years ago, there were 2 major wrestling organizations and they both had their broadcasts on Mondays. So I would often flick from one channel to the next to see what was happening on each of them. http://pages.prodigy.net/bestsmileys1/emoticons1/assimilation.gif
