I was flicking through the station yesterday and came across again a show "Happy Family", I had seen little bits in the past while flicking. So this family has a son who was in an age gap the women he was in love with was older. His family hated it. This is suppose to be haha funny. They said all kinds of rude comments again suppose to be funny. They did all they could to break them up and make old lady jokes.
Jump ahead to last nights show, seems they did get him and her to break up, so now the son is asked by an older sexy single (widow of course) neighbor to paint her bedroom. The family flips more old lady humor not again freak type thing, the women turns out of course to want to get hot in the sheets with the guy (YM). (you know how use older sexy women are made out to be if we get our claws into these boys) So, the guy bolts and has to decide if he will take her up on her offer to come back over to fool around. He is calling himself a freak because he is attracted to older women. This is what the show last night was about, him and his friends thinking hes a freak for liking older women. His brother says go for it, and makes jokes about old women but get it while you can type thing, the young girl in the office talks him into going with her to meet girls his age at a bar, so as to turn him "normal". The end is a book club group comes into the bar (Older women of course) and he after kissing and being turned on and then down by the young girl who kissed him to make a point. (Young girls are more sexy then "Old" women) goes over to talk to them.
Now this OW neighbor was drop dead sexy, yet they still made jokes and age comments about him and her, as was his ex ow girlfriend. The whole joke and big part of the show is pokeing fun at OW/YM realthionships. Over and over the same rude comments some of you have said you put up with from friends and Family of your YM and even selves are used as cannon fodder for the "Jokes" on this show.
Has anyone else seen this show what is your take on it? It is almost worse then the Raido shows you guys have been talking about. Shows like this need to hear from OW/YM so that this bias won't become mainstream and make happy people feel uncomfortable and make families think they are right for giving their children hell for falling in love with a person not a number.
