Do you have any thoughts on his show if you have ever listened to it and your reaction to his ban in 6 cities?

I've been listening to his show for 14 years now. It's a pretty stupid reason why the distributor removed his show from 6 cities as they did. A caller called the show and used the "N" word on the air and Howard did what he was supposed to do, he hung up on the caller for such as ignorant act. That wasn't the first time a caller has done that. Personally, I'm glad that L.A. was not one of the cities to lose The Howard Stern Show.

Howard Stern may be rude, crude, and socially unfit, but his show does not change the price of tea in China or of a pound of coffee in LA. His show has no effect on me.

If you really want to hear or see CR@P that does though,,,,,

WATCH C-SPAN

Actually Salt, what is not able to be heard on the radio can be seen on cable. Instead of C-Span, we could see the Howard Stern Show on E! Channel at night.

And thanks for mentioning LA. Coffee. I can't get through my day without it..........LOL.

Although I've been a fan of his for many years, I really can't agree with you more MerAlove.

He's either got a stripper or a porn star on his show. And even when he's got some famous female movie star on his show, he's still trying to ask them to take off their tops and I find that stupid. Why would an actress who is making a couple of millions per film want to get half naked for a few thousands?

If I ruled the world....Howard Stern would be one of the first to die. Maybe THE first.....nah I can think of a few others more offensive to get rid of first.....but he is absolutely a detriment to media. To society. I can't stand him.

He's vile.

Well at least wait until Robin tells the news.http://pages.prodigy.net/rogerlori1/emoticons/lol3.gif

From what I've been hearing for the past 14 years, Howard Stern is the ONLY radio broadcaster who speaks his mind without being hypocritical. And that's what I admired about him. I first began listening to him when I saw him on "Late Night with David Letterman" and he was commenting on the fact that Tom Arnold (at the time) had no career and was unknown and married Rosanne Barr in order to better his career. I totally agreed with him. The fact is he doesn't make any "ALL DRUG ADDICTS SHOULD BE IN JAIL" speech and then go buy majuana from a corner drug dealer. Unlike Rush Limbarg, he's admitted to doing drugs when he was in college. However, too many have spoken out against his broadcast yet have never listened to him at all.

During the September 11th attack, he was the only disc jockey to stay on the air and broadcast live throughout the attack. He continued to broadcast live throughout the week while others took the week off. I heard it all and I admired that of his broadcasts.

Granted, he can be vulgar at times whereas even I get disgusted. I simply change the radio station then. However, the major vulgarness isn't from him. It's from his callers who protray themself one way in order to be allowed on air, in which case they begin using racist or sexist languages. This is something that, unfortunately, no broadcasters can control, not even CNN.

President? Thanks, but no thanks! I'm liking your revolt idea though Datura. Intriguing.

And how is a (now formerly) married man making crude comments to women who are not his wife in public being anything but hypocritical? I doubt that his wedding vows made provisions for such behavior. Rather, I am sure that his vows did include provisions for honoring, cherishing, and respecting his wife, all of which he tossed out the window each day on his way to the office.

To applaude him losing his show is an applaude for us and this country losing its freedom of speech in the near future. This all started when Howard Stern made a statement about taking President G.W. Bush out of office at the next election. And what a coincedence that the individual ahead of this investigation happens to be the son of Colin Powells.

If you want to applaude his lost, we might as well enjoy AgelessLove.com and every other message board on the internet while it's here because there will soon become history too. Afterall, isn't this FREE SPEECH?

Private companies have the right to decide what content they wish to air. If Howard Stern wants to start his own broadcasting company he can have his show on 24/7 on every station he owns. But that's not the case. His ratings are slipping, he costs stations money in FCC fines, and he creates an image problem for an industry trying to crawl out from under that Janet Jackson debacle. So Clear Channel suspended him. It's not a ban per se, although the language they used in their "Responsible Broadcasting Initiative" makes it clear that he will not be welcomed back unless there are major changes in the show.

Regardless of whether you agree with ClearChannel's decision or not, they have the right to do it. This has nothing to do with free speech. Our constitution doesn't force any company to broadcast content it finds inappropriate.

If it was my broadcasting company, Howard Stern wouldn't be allowed to mop the floor.
