Differences in men from different countries

Hi all. My man is from the north of England and perhaps it is just me but he seems a bit different than the American men I've dated. For people who have dated others from different nations, what is your take on this? My om seems to be so much of a gentleman to me (and we've been together for a year!). It's going lovely!

I don't know about the men! but I see a lot of women in Scotland that are resonably tall as far as women go, with really long hair, and look like they should be the King's daughter :) I don't see that so much with other European and North American women.

Oh now this is my subject!!
My guy is from South America and he is like no other American man I have ever known, its a good thing for the most part. He is such a gentleman also....and we have been together for 2 1/2 years :-)
From what I have learned over the past couple years is that Latin men believe it is very important to be 'macho' and 'running the show'; which I personally love :-) But it is very different than men I have dated here. Its all about that culture and how they are brought up in their home countries. We do struggle at times with the culture barrier.....but the pros definitally over-ride the cons. Just like in Age-Gap relationships!!! Except its like a double-whammy because we not only have the age difference, but we also have the culture differences. lol

my man is latin also and he has the same typical personality that you described. Macho is his middle name..LOL.. and he must always run the show however, I let him "think" that he is running the show....LOL

I personally like a man that is able to take charge and lead the way. The door for me will never go unopened and the sex is over the top. Wouldn't want it any other way... I always dreamed about having a dark, mysterious latin lover! I get it from my mother cause she has the same weakness!

Popping over from the other side...

I have dated (even married one) lots of Latino men (mostly Mexicans) and adore them. They are so romantic! As long as they are not macho, they can be great partners. Right now, I am with a Turkish man and am very happy with him, although I am finding out that Turkish men have their own form of machismo! Oh well, since I have had all that experience with the Latino machismo, I think I can work a lot of it out of him. Generally, I have always preferred foreign men to men from my own culture. They are mysterious and, therefore, more fun to explore.

Congratulations on your relationship and I wish you both much continuing happiness!

ByTheSea...... I can totally relate. I LOVE having a man who can take charge, protect, love, and not forget to pull out the chair at dinner :-)

And he never goes too far, you know, controlling kinda crap. Nope ;-)

I could never tolerate a controlling, posessive type man either.. his macho-ism is just enough manliness to keep me coming back for more! :D
