Electric massage chairs

Do any of you know anything about electric massage chairs/recliners? I have a lot of back pain all the time from lifting my mother's wheelchair. I had gone into a few stores and tried the electronic massage chairs and ended up with no back pain the following day. I am just confused as to which one to buy. All of the stores/online stores say that their chair is the best. I have done extensive searches online and have only become more confused.

When we sold our house, I lost my hot tub. Instead of another hot tub, I'd like to have an electronic massage chair. Some of them made me feel like a real massage therapist was working on me.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Whisper,

They work wonders! We have one at our house, and it really works on your muscles. Mine has heat also- and it helps siginficantly with cramps.

Thanks for your reply. Which chair do you have? I am so excited! I ordered one yesterday....a Popular 600. It is a very new model. It is supposed to be incredibly powerful. It should arrive in a few days. I can't wait!

Since my Popular 600 massage chair arrived, I've spent barely any time on the computer, lol. It is just incredible - I am totally hooked on it.

I haven't tried that yet! It would probably hurt, though, as the massage is really powerful. I almost bought a Premier 2027 chair instead of this one. I had tried several chairs out in stores and the Premiere was the best I tried. I wasn't able to try the Popular out, but I heard that it was the same as the Premiere, but with arm massage. I know that I really loved the massage of the Premiere chair, but it didn't offer arm massage. Anyway, the Popular is really intense (some of the programs almost too intense), and I want to go back and retry the Premiere chair to compare it. The store that had the only Premiere chair sold it a few days ago so I'm waiting for them to get another one in.

Jeremy is in the chair right now as I type. It's his second massage of the day; I had about 5 or 6 today, lol. The chair is so cool....it detects the person's accupressure points before each massage. I'm going back in for another massage after I get off the computer, lol.

I haven't tried the Lomi chair....I haven't seen any of them in malls or stores, although I was looking at them on the internet when I was trying to decide which chair to buy.

I'm a certified massage therapist and had really been missing getting massages (we massage therapists used to trade massage) since I started taking care of my mom. I decided that I would just get my own massage therapist (the chair) 24/7. I waited for over two years to get this chair; it was the only thing that I told Jeremy I'd really like to have some day.

One day I went into Brookstone and Sharper Image and Relax the Back stores. I spent about 2-3 hours getting massages in their chairs - the next day I had absolutely no back pain ( I usually always have back pain from lifting my mother's wheelchair). I'm hooked on these things. If you ever get to one of the other stores to try out the different brands, tell me how they compare to the Lomi chair.
