I'm engaged !

Hi all!
My lovely man proposed at the beach today in Newport, RI!!!!!! I said, "I will! I will!"
I am speechless!!!! Whooooohoooo!

C is 10 yrs. older and we have been dating for a year. We were skimming rocks by the ocean, and I asked him to "go get a rock." He got down on his knees and certainly gave me one....... memorable, huh?

Good for you!!! I wish you years of happiness and many children. lol.

Oh, thank you AbaconW. Once I wanted 5 kids, but uh, my future hubby got scared so I'll settle for whatever God wants me to have.

Today at Church, I turned my ring around so no one would see it. My OM and I wanted it to be a surprise for all. He does a power point slideshow everyday and he just wrote on one slide "Congratulations C and Randi!" Everyone just looked and darted towards us. I still feel like it's a dream. It hasn't registered yet. I'm getting married!!!

Here's how it went:
It was stormy and raining a bit. There were people surfing and I asked C, "How come we can't watch from the car?" He smiled and got out. I followed, rolling my eyes. It was windy and there were tons of white caps on the waves.It was warmer than usual, 55-60 degrees. We walked away from the surfers and just held each other.
He bent down to tie his shoe, so I thought I'd walk down to the water to grab a shell. I then pickd up several rocks and started skimming them among the water. He came up and asked, "You want to skim rocks, huh?" I ran out of them at this point and said, "Hey C, come on, the water's not cold, go and get a rock."
C then got down on 1 knee and asked me to marry him. Get a rock he did!
He and his family want the wedding to be this Sept., but I'll finish with college in December, so I want to be finished before I get married. I'll be teaching English at a local high school, so that's settled. The wedding will prob be in May 2005 or Sept. 2005. We will see!

After the wedding, we will be havoing a reception in the UK for his friends who can't make the wedding. Cool, huh?

Well!! It doesn't get much more romantic than that!! I am so excited for you!!! It must be wonderful wearing a ring on your left hand!!!! Aaaaaawwwww!!!! :-)
