Databases?

I know this isnt the more techincal side of IT but i was wondering you knew anyhting about databases?

What it is that i need to make a appoitment booking system for a doctors surgery in MS Access and im totally lost as to how to do this?

This is part of my A-Level ICT assignment.

No pressure though, just thought id ask :)

Well, of course you would need some different tables...

A Doctor's Table
A Patients Table
An Appointment Table (with day/date/time)
Surgical Procedure Table


Of course, you'd need the appropriate fields in each table. I would imagine that, for each table...the fields are just kind of a given thing...nothing overly special, you know?

The form shouldn't be too bad. A one page form, really. Where you would list the Doctor...the Patient...Date and procedure done...

Now, I'm not saying that this is correct...lord knows it's probably wrong. *LOL* I never was really good with databases, but Meena, I hope this does help you in some way, shape or fashion...towards your goal!

I readily admit that databases and MS Access was never one of my strong points! I wish I knew it better...perhaps I'll have to start brushing up!
