Does this sound weird or not?HELP

Hi, first let me tell you that I am a divorced 26 yr old man with 2 young boys ages 5 and 7. I really don't have a relationship with their mom anymore because she left me three years ago for a family friend of mine for 10 years, which happened to be a woman.

Now my question is I have had feelings for a woman who is 43 and happens to be my ex-wifes aunt. I know this all sounds so weird but this really is my life. My question is not with the age difference because I think she is beautiful and a wonderful sweet woman. It is about the whole ex-wife aunt thing. We talk alot and I know she feels the same way but I am cautious because of what my two young children may think later or now and if it is even right or not. She really does not talk with her family so that won't be a problem. Any advice would help. Thank You

if you both have an "interest"... see where it leads. never know! as for her being an aunt of your ex, is that something to really let stand in the way???

Christina is right. If you and your wife are irrevocably split up, then there shouldn't be a problem with other family members. Your children are young enough to make an easy adjustment to Auntie becoming a more significant person in their lives. If you still feel uncomfortable, just start out by seeing Auntie privately and then slowly work her into the children's lives.

If your ex is in a lesbian relationship and the kids are handling that, then I think they'll benefit from the example of a loving relationship, even if it's an older family member.

Remember, kids don't put judgements on things. They just respond to love, like we all do.

God bless, and go forward.
