Thank you guys sooo much. I was having insecurity issues about the whole porn thing... with my ym who is 20 and I am about to turn 45.

You guys rock. All of the feedback helped.

We read it together.

We came up with a plan.

Just to share, this was it.

I needed to work on my own self opinion.

I felt the options were:
counseling
quitting smoking
jogging

Am looking into counseling.
Quit smoking
up to running 3 to 5 miles a day.

I am feeling really great about myself. The body is feelin' n lookin' better which never hurts.... my posture is better... and I have more spring in my step.

On my ym's part... He offered to take a break for as long as I need from the porn. He didnt want to hurt me. I told him that I was comfortable right now with him watching a couple of times a week, but when I was feelin low about myself, I would feel better if I was his only sexual inspiration.

It is working for us. A little break from the porn was one feedback... and we used that... and took pieces from everyone's thoughts.

You guys rock... We are working through it... couldnt do it without ya... thanks for listening to me probably toooo much.

Hi Jan,

First, that is great news about your situation! I followed the thread when I first started reading postings here. It’s great that he is just as willing to work on this as you are – and what fabulous health benefits for you! Congratulations on giving up smoking – I have never smoked, but have gone through the giving up process with friends that have and I know how hard it can be.

I hope you don't mind if I ask you a question about one thing you've mentioned that has helped you here – I too have discovered the benefits of jogging – everything you say – the posture, the energy, self-esteem, lower stress, not to mention in my case losing those few extra pounds I’ve been trying to for the longest time! – nothing like it! But how did you build up to 3 to 5 miles a day?? I’ve been jogging regularly for close to a year, and the best I can get to is 2 miles on a good day! Any tips?

Again, much continued congratulations for working through this with your ym in such a positive way and building a great relationship together!

I have run my most of my life. First of all, there are runners and non runners. You seem to be a runner. This is what I have discovered.

When you cross the 3 mile mark you see a drastic immediate body change. Take is slow. Drive out a 3 mile route and run really slow. REALLY SLOW. Then once you can do that 3 to 4 times a week start speeding it up. I look at the clock when I leave and start out at 10 minute miles.

If you can get to 8 minute miles your body will change.

I feel this way, If I can give my health an hour a day, I will be happier and feel better. So what is an hour. We can watch Oprah for an hour... and if we work out for an hour, the benifits are so great... sleep better.. body stuff tighter... more mentally stable... better posture...

So, I think oprah is cool, but an hour of real body and mind changing stuff is too.

If someone reads this and runnin' aint your thing... find the thing that is fun for you.

some like aerobics.. karate...whatever...

as a fitness freak I know finding your own formula is key.

Please.. feel better and go for it... you are going to fee great!

...you are too funny!!! Don't mess w/Oprah!!! Roflmao(rolling on floor laffing my *** off)!!! Did ya hear the definition of being drunk by Deano??? He said..."you're NEVER too drunk if u can hang onto the floor while the room is spinning!!!" LOL

Btw...wanted to let u and Peachy know that I enjoyed your photo album...you two look very happy together and your lady is very beautiful. And you're no slouch......you guys are a cute couple.

As for keeping fit, I think it becomes more important as we mature.....especially for us OW. I've found that keeping physically fit..or at least reasonably so provides many health benefits. Most of us who try to be faithful to the exercising have found that we feel better than we've ever felt and that radiates outwards. The most important, invaluable benefit that I've gained from keeping fit is a renewed sense of self-esteem!!! You can't buy that and no one can give it to you!!!

See u and Peachy on the posts....
