There are so many reasons I love my man that are particular to him, like the way he makes me laugh, takes care of me, appreciates me in so many ways every day, etc., etc., etc., but I believe there are also some universal positives between OW/YM relationships, such as the men having better sex drives and function than their older counterparts and more energy and desire to explore the world and be active.
One of the things I love so much about this relationship is that we're always off doing something - biking, walking, kiting, sledding, dancing, dining - he's always up for it, and, frankly, that wasn't my experience with the men who were my age or older.
I know these are generalizations, but they're mine and I own them. So there.
So, spill your generalizations.

Maria 03-25-2004, 02:02 PM ;) I thought of what I could write here, but couldn't come up with anything.
The best generalization I have to share with you is that every human being, no matter their age, gender, race, religion, you name it, is unique.
There is only one of each of us and that's why most generalizations are not true.
I guess if I had had a bunch of younger boyfriends, then I might even find some similarity in the way they deal with relationships that might be linked to their age group, but I don't have that experience, and I prefer to stick with my guy than to try to find out! ;)
It's a nice question and I'm curious to see what people have to say.
Opps, you're right, Maria. I actually only have my one and only experience with a younger man to compare with. Not about to start a research project though. :)
Cheers! (I did have that glass of wine at lunch, along with some special dessert with my boyfriend - *wink, wink*) :)
Maria 03-25-2004, 06:21 PM Girl, I'm sure there are things in common among guys around the same age, since that's what lots of women say.
I guess their generation do share some values that were not ours (I'm 43 and he's 27). I just can't figure out with it is. Maybe it's this wine. (which is only virtual!)
:D

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, -I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! -and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
I can't say it better than this. I have the good fortune to be married to the most wonderful man I've ever met.
Peace,
Jane (56) Dave (30)
