I just read DoE's beautiful, worth reading thread about jealousy in Relationships. She mentioned playing Solitaire. Which brought my own relationship problem to the surface and I must deal with it!
To the point: I cannot beat Matt at Sol. I find I am wasting hours everyday pressing "deal" over and over again. His low score is 210. Then my son makes his entrance and comes up with a 195. My low score is 260!
am I just too old? my senses dulled, my reaction time dragging.?...please someone! I can't find any cheats or tips to get my through this. I want to be victorious!! Help me please!
They are starting to laugh at me. I need this victory!

I can't help you with the solitaire, but I can relate to your problem in general. While in Romania, Remi and I played many video games together. I only beat him once!! I always came in a close second. Now, of course he has more experience than me on these games, but it has now become my mission to slaughter him on playstation2 when he comes here. :D

egads - I dread having the playstation plugged in! I am way back in the first Pacman era!!
It has become an Obsession! I am thinking of resorting to drugs!
just kidding of course but I am filling up on coffee. I would cheat if I could! Just one or two simple cheats that the boys wouldn't know about. That's all I need!

Remi likes to play the racing games, which coincidentally are the only ones I would ever play with my kids (car races, boat races, motorcycle races). I enjoy those, too. But, I just can't top Remi's speed. I think I'm gonna practice, practice, practice, so I can stomp him when he comes here.

Whiterose...
What games do you play Remi at? I might be able to help you, I've been racing online for years. *LOL*

I have no clue what the names of the games were because they were in an arcade. But, we mostly played racing boats or racing cars. I did my very best. I pushed it full speed, hit almost every ramp, picked up almost every bonus booster and kept the boat/car on course most of the time. A few times, I started out way ahead of him, but then he'd start suddenly pull ahead of me and I could never get close enough again... would lose by 1.2 seconds.
I did manage to beat him a couple of times in some sort of fighting game (like Mortal Kombat), but he insists that he LET me win. :p
